charlesemeka85: Did you see where you used your second paragraph to contradict the first? Is reverting to a back 4 not changing the winning formulae? Now answer this; when was the first time Jpez experimented this particular winning formula? Who were the players that executed it that day and what was the score line like? And which players had the best ratings that day? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by charlesemeka85(m): 3:45pm On Feb 06 |
ChrisKels:reverting to a back 4 when the team is chasing a game In such situation a player like nacho is needed for his creativity and goal scoring ability The first time jpes experimented or I will say deployed his current formation was against CIV and it worked out perfectly well. If there is any match he first tried it I don’t knw |

Mujtahida: Thank you o, I thought am the only one thinking this way. Penalty shoot-outs are part of the game if you can't score in regulation time. The best approach is to prepare for all situations and scenarios. All this talk of taking chances is all assumptions, what if the keeper keeps saving all your efforts in regulation time, won't you fight till the very end? Looking at Cape Verde, it's obvious they didn't prepare enough for penalties while SA prepared totally. From the knock-out stage, teams are expected to prepare totally for all scenarios, we have even seen teams missing penalties given in regulation time which still reflects preparedness. Imagine Ekong missed the penalty against CIV, no be abuse we go abuse am? We got to be ready for all scenarios jare 2 Likes |

mostob:95% of Onyeka's game for Brentford has been as a CM/box 2 box midfielder. He even has assists and goals in that role. You can use sofascore. Yusuf can also fit in as a DM. Our current mid-field set-up requires one CM/DLP and one box 2 box midfielder/CM or rather 2 CMs. This is why Raph Onyedika couldn't come on against Angola. Yusuf who is a box 2 box midfielder replaced Iwobi and Aribo another box 2 box midfielder replaced Frank Onyeka. |

Chukwueze: There is nothing special about Williams, we will beat Bafana in 90 minutes Nigeria and AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze is confident that they will beat Bafana Bafana without going into penalties and has played down the notion that Ronwen Williams is a penalty-saving specialist. "Penalty is a game of luck, anybody can miss. It's the one he saw that he saved," Chukwueze said. "I'm not saying he's not a good goalkeeper, actually a good goalkeeper, but the most important thing is for us to win in 90 minutes or 120 minutes. We will win without going into penalties. "It's not about being scared, it's about being on a safer side at the moment. We have been watching their clips, they are good on their own day but we'll try our best and win." 11 Likes 1 Share |

After drawing our first match, we’ve won every other match. No extra time, no PK. And now the semi finals, you guys are clamoring for a change of style. Let’s bench this and that, let’s try something different, the defenders now understand his style 🤣🤣🤣Thank God no be una be coach. Have you ever asked why your preferred player has not seen one minute in this tournament? Even if Osimhen is tired the coach always bring on Onuachu. Abi you want to tell us you are the one training them and know them better than the coaches? This is the semi finals, not a dead rubber game or the last match after we’ve qualified. Make una die this agenda!!! 10 Likes 1 Share |

Afcon is such a spetacular tournament you will almost forget about the AFC(Asian cup) ongoing. Semi finalist 1. Jordan vs Rep of Korea ( Son, Hwang hee chan, Kim min jae) 2nd meeting in this tourney after a 2-2 in the group stage. Korea is being managed by Jurgen Klinsmann. Also this is Jordan first ever semi final appearance. Match ongoing 0-0. Semi final 2. Iran vs Qatar Iran is the current Favorite for the cup. heard this is the last chance for their ageing golden generation to lift the cup since 76' or so. Qatar home nation. 4 Likes |
