Makibarbie:
This is the process of sending a package to kenya.

Welcome newcomers and congratulations on your PPR!!!
Submitting your documents to Kenya VFS.
These are the list of documents to be submitted if you are sending to Kenya VFS:
1. International passports (for PA and all accompanying spouse/dependents)
2. 2 passport photographs (PA, spouse and dependents), please follow the
instruction on this as requested in your letter.
3. Passport request letter which should be printed out and stappled together.
4. Completed height and eye color chart (this comes with the PR letter and it
should be filled for PA, spouse and dependents), It should be stappled with
the passport request letter.
5. IMM008 (This is for those with change in their family composition)
6. 1 CVAC form to be filled by the primary applicant, please ensure the email
and phone number is that of the primary applicant as well.
7.2photocopiesofeveryfamilymember’sinternationalpassport(oneachcopy
should be written the PA’s email and phone number)
8. Proof of payment (MT103) of the package transmission fee from your bank
of KES 2,560 or $28.77 Kindly visit VFS global for updated amount as this vary from time to time.
VFS Global Kenya limited account details:
Account name: VFS (Kenya) Limited- Canada Holdings Country: Kenya
Currency: Kenya Shilling
Bank Name: ABSA BANK KENYA PLC
Branch: Barclays Plaza
Street: Loita Street - Nairobi
Bank Account No. 2037342214
SWIFT: BARCKENX
Chips UID/Sort code: 03
Most people pay the transmission fee through their domiciliary account or barter, please always verify before you go ahead. A telex copy is usually generated and it should be submitted with other documents as well.
You can use any courier service of choice ranging from DHL, FEDEX, UPS...ensure you contact them for their charges.

Please note:
You must send a pre-paid return label from an international courier service with all your documents to Kenya VFS, this will make delivery to you effective as they wouldn’t process without a return label.
You can contact a DHL agent to facilitate this for you if you will be sending via DHL (you can ask on the group for the contact and make sure you are well educated before proceeding). It’s actually cheaper using an agent!
Address to send the whole package to will be:
Canada Visa Application Centre VFS Global
P O Box 25180-00100
+254 800720214
5th Floor Parkfield Hse.
Muthangari Drive, Off Waiyaki Way Westlands,

For a change of name (marital status), you have to change it first with NIN. The names on the passport (immigration) must always match NIN data. Go to any NIMC office with necessary documents - copies (Marriage certificate, Affidavit, and Newspaper Publication+Written letter) requesting the change based on Marital status.
After the change has been submitted, it is another hurdle for NIMC to update it in their database before heading to NIS for a new passport (change of name).

My wife did not require a consent letter (the instruction from NIS contact was to go to NIMC to change it first, then to NIS).

PS: With the new passport process, things might have changed with NIS, so my info might not be accurate.

Congrats, please I have also done biometrics for TRV and had to pay again for biometrics when I submitted my PR application.

I just want to confirm if you didn't pay for the biometrics initially while paying and submitting the pr application.

Yes, I did not pay initially when submitting the SS application (only included the Proof of Biometrics Validity document). It is good you paid, IRCC wouldn't ask again. Biometrics should be updated to complete once that stage is done.

PPR can take anywhere from 1 month- 3 months after medical. especially with accra office so there really isn't any need to worry at this point. mine took 1.5 months from medical

My passport has been returned 🙏🏾
it took 10 working days between the process of submission and return.

DHL drop off in Lagos - 24 November

DHL delivered to VFS Nairobi- 27 November

VFS Nairobi delivered to IRCC for processing - 29 November

Counterfoil generated on GCkey account - 29 November

Passport arrived back at VFS Nairobi and ready for pick up - 30 November

DHL picked up at VFS for return - 1st Dec

DHL returned passport back to VFS Nairobi due to error in waybill number - 4th Dec

DHL pickup again after I contacted VFS and DHL to ask why I couldn’t track my shipment, it was a lot of back and forth sha at the end, i was asked to resend my return waybill paper - 5th Dec

Passport shipped: 5th Dec

Passport delivered and received - 7th Dec

I would like to commend the help of Nairobi VFS and DHL customer service reps for ensuring the issue was resolved with 3hours.they definitely have one of the best customer service team.

Also, if you have the plans to send to nairobi, ensure your return waybill is stapled and if possible attach two copies for them lol.

Thank you all for the support and i wish everyone the best from here 🙏🏾🎉🎉

Please I want to know if you choose to send to Kenya because it seems on my PPR form, am seeing Accra mentioned in it

Re: Canada Spouse Family Sponsorship Visa/appeal Process by 11elleo: 8:55pm On Feb 12
yes you can submit to any VO even if it is different from the one written on your PPR. as long as you follow whatever their requirements are for posting. if you can wait about 2-3 months for passport return, then send to accra. if not, send to kenya. mine took 7 weeks because i submitted to accra

Hello All, silent observer here.

Spousal sponsorship application:
I initially applied in March 2023 but wifey's application was returned as incomplete. So, I re-submitted May 2023.

Timeline:
May 16- Application received
August 17 - Request for Biometrics
Nov 17 - Request for immigration medical exam
Nov. 17 - eligibility completed
Nov. 18 - Pre-arrival services letter
Nov 30 - Medicals completed
Feb 07, 2024 - BG verification completed
Feb 07 - Copr details generated
Feb 12 - PPR mail

Worthy of mentioning is that we applied for wifey's visitor's visa mid-way. We applied in July 2023 and visa approved in Aug, 2023.
Also, wifey was able to get a job in principle (guys, there's no hack here. just aggressive sending of job applications), while she waited for her ppr. Within the 2months we waited for the PPR mail, we decided to apply for an open spousal work permit. We flagpoled ( bad move. can't flagpole as a PR) and later applied online for an open spousal work permit for wifey. What's interesting is that, the minute the online application for an open work permit was sent, IRCC decided to update the spousal PR application to BG completed, COPR details generation and hence PPR mail. So, safe to say that the independent application prompted the system to do the needful, lol.

Rooting for everyone waiting it out for IRCC to do the needful. Cheers!

Congratulations on your PPR.
Can you please share with us what your approach was with the Visitor Visa, we are just planning to put everything together now just like you did.

Spousal Sponsorship followed by visitor visa application, was there anything special you did to ensure that the visitor visa was granted or is it safe to say that as a potential PR (Spousal Sponsorship in progress) the visitor visa is all but guaranteed ?

Thank you for your time.

Like you rightly said, ss (spousal spon.) followed by vv (visitors visa) application. As you already know, both applications are treated separately as the applicant's intentions differ. We didn't do anything 'special' other than submitting the required documents. We kept the vv documentation light because most documents have already been submitted during the ss application. VV is not guaranteed for anyone, however, I would say you'd get to know the decision of the vv application within record time, (unless there are mitigating circumstances peculiar to your application)

Well it does seem like unlike before Visitor Visa application after Spousal Sponsorship application process are now being given more positive response than before.

I say this from just observing the trends so I may be wrong, I wish others could also weigh in and share there thoughts.

Does applying for a visitor visa after aor (spousal sponsorship) have more positive outcome these days compared to in the past
