The woman was a civil servant who had slaved away for years only to end up penniless because of a greedy, mumuish child who fell victim to skilled Lambaists

the real fuckery is that it is an unending cycle

in the 2000s, it was 'your freedom'. most of my friends went absolutely batshit over it. everyone was runnig round trying to get other people to fill form

On the contrary, it was an unintelligent and ill calculated scheme by mother and daughter, they didn't let my uncle know and wanted to shock him with their investment returns. Needless to say, the man was really shocked grin

Ohh....Dem wan turn investor Sabinus overnight. I don't know why some women are like that sha.

During the MMM era, a female relative's saving grace was that she asked what I think about the whole MMM frenzy. I told her that like all previous ponzi schemes, it will crash and people's money will be trapped.

The following week MMM crashed ! She later told me that I saved her from serious debt which would've included her hubby's money she held in trust on his behalf.

You really saved her. Except na you be the pomzi itself or your main Gs na ponzi creators or you're fortunate enough to do first week or month... you'll always lose out in the long run

Top 2 reasons why Ponzi will always be successful in Nigeria are:

1. Nigerians naturally believe they are smart.

2. Nigerians always believe they will be lucky (They believe they will always be among the few)

BREAKING: Former SGF, Boss Mustapha testifies in alleged $6.2million fraud case against Emefiele, denies approving $6.2m for Emefiele to pay international election observers, says he knows nothing about the transaction up till the time he left office.

EFCC had earlier accused former Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele of forging documents to obtain $6.2m from the CBN, claiming that the then SGF, Boss Mustapha requested it “vide a letter dated 26th January 2023 with Ref No. SGF.43/L.01/201″.

.....Meffy má pẹ lẹ wọn. LOL!

Boss Mustapha's key points during his testimony in court today👇

1. Nigerian Government has no business with the payment of Foreign Election observers.

2. Federal Executive Council (FEC) decisions are not transmitted by letters.

3. In all correspondences he received from former President Buhari, he never concluded with “Please accept with my highest regard.,” saying the signature was a failed attempt at reproducing Buhari’s signature.

4. He has never heard of the term “Special Appropriation Provision.” The two terms known to him are “appropriation” and “Supplementary.

Tinubu used to be an ardent supporter of restructuring and resource control. Now that he’s president, what is he waiting for before he implement it?

The way the economy is dwindling, and every sector is working as if Nigeria is fine is very funny.

NAFDAC is banning satchet alcohol, forgetting that a lot of jobs are created by these companies; let us not even forget about how taxes would be affected.

Their reason is that none of them are registered.

So why not force them to register? Why not drag them to your office and register, since registration is the issue?

The 2024 Pi Day (3/14) is about a month away. Interestingly, theoretical physicist Michael Hartl has made many mathematicians and physicists take an interest in pi's sibling (or arch-enemy if you prefer) — tau.

He gave a brilliant argument that convinced many scientists that tau, which is defined as double pi, is a more natural constant:

Quite a fascinating piece, including his Tau Manifesto for the "geekdom":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hhjsSN-AiU

Tau, or double pi, is so ubiquitous in Mathematics and Physics.

In Nigeria , we excel in throwing away the baby along with the bath water .

That was how I read about an estate in Enugu where they suspected some kidnappers hid some of their victims in one of the houses there. The next thing the government did is to demolish several buildings in the estate that had absolutely nothing to do with the kidnapper's hideout . It was one skit maker that whose house was about to be demolished in the same estate that made a video before the thing gained public attention and the state govt was now doing shalaye .

Like u rightly said , it makes absolute no sense to start shutting down those herbal liquor manufacturers because some of them were actually registered by same NAFDAC initially and this is not a good time for wielding of such big stick.

I will not lie, it just appears as if there's one evil hand pushing this government to keep taking anti-people decisions until the people snap at the breaking point . Because I no just understand.

This country is just waiting for who will light the matchstick. Fuel don dey the body already.

The hardship is becoming something else

You will find long queues at petrol stations that sell 568 to 601 (Total, NNPC, Mobil)

The ones selling 635-640 are empty.

I bought fuel along egbeda road and the attendants just sit down dey sleep. No customer.

I doubt if we can bounce back from this disaster we are in.

I will be surprised if there is no serious uproar from Nigerians in form of nationwide protest before the end of year.
