In Nigeria , we excel in throwing away the baby along with the bath water .

That was how I read about an estate in Enugu where they suspected some kidnappers hid some of their victims in one of the houses there. The next thing the government did is to demolish several buildings in the estate that had absolutely nothing to do with the kidnapper's hideout . It was one skit maker that whose house was about to be demolished in the same estate that made a video before the thing gained public attention and the state govt was now doing shalaye .

Like u rightly said , it makes absolute no sense to start shutting down those herbal liquor manufacturers because some of them were actually registered by same NAFDAC initially and this is not a good time for wielding of such big stick.

I will not lie, it just appears as if there's one evil hand pushing this government to keep taking anti-people decisions until the people snap at the breaking point . Because I no just understand.

It is like when they appoint someone to be there, they throw every bit of commonsense out of the window.

From retailes, to distributors, to contractors, to suppliers, to haulage companies, a lot are making their living from selling it

I pass through Intercontinental distilleries just near Canaanland, and you'll see so many trucks outside. That place is a beehive of activities

Then someone will just wake up and ban it because of registration number.

I will be surprised if there is no serious uproar from Nigerians in form of nationwide protest before the end of year.

I came back this night, and wanted to eat noodles

I have walked the length and breadth of my street, and nobody has Indomie (the real brand)

They said the company increased the pack by over 1,500. So nobody is buying it, because they have no confidence in consumers paying 200 for the small size.

Let's give Tinubu time. At least, we will access him in 2027

Government officials/agencies just take decision without any care about the ripple effect/consequence of their actions .

That's why I always tell people that even if I make billions of naira outside the shores of this country , I do not intend to invest a kobo in establishing business in Nigeria because the country is too unstable when it comes to government policies .

You can be doing ur normal legal business today and one yeye government policy will make ur business illegal overnight and ur investment gone down the drain. That's why I always credit those who have the heart to still invest in this country despite knowing how unstable things can be over here.

Only place you will find the pack is in market square on 22 road. Move fast. Prices are increasing every 48 hours

Not surprised. These companies need to remain in the market...and this is the only way that can be attainable. If they don't, na to pack up.

the 70g is in market square, spar and globus

i bought the 100g at n250 in shock last week. even the cashier expected me to drop it - as i always make a point of asking for price of every item before paying and dropping anything i consider overpriced.

https://punchng.com/6-2m-fraud-presidency-asks-interpol-to-arrest-three-suspects/

The Special Investigator appointed by President Bola Tinubu to probe cases of fraud in the Godwin Emefiele-led Central Bank of Nigeria has written the International Police, National Central Bureau to place three Nigerians—a CBN staff member and two others—on its red notice.

Monday’s request is connected to an alleged conspiracy and forging of signatures and documents in the name of former President Muhammadu Buhari to steal $6.23m from the CBN.

A letter obtained by The PUNCH on Tuesday named Odoh Ocheme, a staff member of the apex bank, Adamu Abubakar and Imam Abubakar on the list directed to Interpol.

The letter with reference number CR:3000/TSI/ABJ/VOL.1/85 and dated February 12, 2024, was addressed to the IGP and signed by the Head of Operations, Office of the Special Investigator, DCP Eloho Okpoziakpo,.

It noted that the three persons who are now at large had conspired and forged documents in the name of the former President, carting away $6.23m.

It read, “The Special Investigator appointed by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to investigate the Central Bank of Nigeria, Related Entities and other Key Government Business Entities kindly requests you to place the above-named individuals on INTERPOL RED NOTICE.

“In the course of the Special Investigator’s assignment, Mr Odoh Eric Ocheme, (staff of the CBN) now at large and the other two accomplices, also now at large, were discovered to have conspired and forged documents in the name of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria with which they stole about US$6,230,000 in cash from the coffers of the CBN

The ship that meffy ran. It must have been a free for all. Or even worse, this is a standard scam that has been run every election year.

I see some of those boys hanging around ikeja city mall and Bolade bus stop, oshodi begging in a harassing manner. All those money they collected to disenfranchise voters can't even afford 1 carton of indomitable.

All these ponzi schemes point to another peculiarity - a lot of Nigerians actually have idle cash lying about. Because every other day some scheme - (agro it allied something something is now the package) is raking in billions from investors. The vibe I get is Nigerians are not properly informed because I think those stanbic ibtc type mutual funds would be better vehicles for their cash over the long term. More stable. I guess Nigerians are all about that magical 30% roi.

I don't think they have idle funds lying around ; u will be surprised that some people even sell their physical assets just to have cash to invest in these ponzi schemes just to make exorbitant profits after " cashing out".

We heard stories of wives "investing" school fees of their own kids handed down by their hubby in MMM and the likes with the hope of making their own money.. Kingtom narrated how a relative in cahoots with the daughter invested her gratuity ( which she should've uses to buy annuity or Govt bonds at least) just to show her husband that she knows how to manage money.

Those monies are not really lying around idle, it's greed and a delusional feeling of " I'm lucky and smart " that made them go extra mile to get the money and "invest "

Yes u did, but the news piece is a shiit show of poor journalism . There was no mention of how the ex-Air Force guy got hold of the military paraphernalia he supplied. It may as well been gotten through military wares and gadgets imported into the country illegally which customs have been bursting once in a while .

U remember I said I don't think whoever is supplying the bandits military paraphernalia is stealing them from the military directly , rather it's more of a case of those items I listed illegally and same sent towards the way of non state actors .

I don't think any serving or ex military will steal so much military stuff and the military won't notice .
