Which States Would You Like To See A Revolution Or Change Of Government by Minsk24: 1:14pm On Feb 14
Change is always constant, empires rise and fall, political elites, political parties, authoritarian strong men, political systems, e.t.c are not immune to the winds of change...
In this thread ,i will be highlighting which countries i would love to see a revolution or change of government...
Revolution would refer to an overhaul of the political system
Change of government would refer to another party taking power or another head of state/government taking power

Iran

I really love this country, rich history, a large chunk of secular people, it is sad that the revolution of 1979 brought the ayatollahs to power and a theocratic system ..
I want to see a revolution in Iran, where the theocracy is overthrown...
I do not agree with theocracy as a system of government, religion should be separate from the state, the willingness of Tehran to meddle in other arab states affairs to support shia's is part of the problem in the middle east ..
I do not disagree with all of their policies but i do think the Iranian people deserve better, Iran is a beautiful place with lovely people, they deserve a system that will guarantee the Rights of all ethnic groups...the Kurds in iran cannot even speak their language freely and must change their names to Farsi...
Iran has huge potentials, i would love to see a revolution to tear down the current system

Pakistan

I would love to see a revolution in Pakistan, a revolution that will tear down the military influence in politics, Pakistan's army wields considerable power in the countries politics,
It is widely reported that part of the reason while Imran khan was ousted is because he fell out with the military...
Any country where the military can wield huge power behind the scenes,to dictate govt policies and influence decisions is primed for instability...
I would love to see a Pakistan where the military is subordinate to the civil administration...

USA

While i have always been a Centrist Liberal, i will not support Joe Biden's re-election ...
Tho i dislike trump, i feel Biden's failing memory is dangerous to the USA, a country with a leader who has memory lapse will be primed for inefficient governance ...
I disagree with Biden's policy regarding the border, seeing Republican states send troops to the border is disgraceful...
I really Love biden but i will want to see a change of government come November,
Democrats should really bring up another contender before it is too late

Lebanon

What is a country that has a para-military group stronger than the army? Yes Lebanon, a country with a broken parliament, a deeply divided country, with sunnis, shias and Christians...
A revolution is deeply needed in Lebanon, they need to overhaul the constitution and centralize authority, i would prefer to see Lebanon switch to a presidential system..
Yes they have had sectarian violence in the past, but so have other countries... which means with effective leadership, they can live together in peace, but they must reign in on hezbollah, reform the political system to ensure stability and unity

Cuba

Cuba Cuba Cuba Cuba
How long will u hold unto ur revolution and ideology since it has not worked...u are neighbor to the greatest country the world has ever seen and yet you refuse to bow...
The USSR is no more, is it not time to soften up relationship with Washington,is it not time to Reform ur economic system? Is it not time to be pragmatic in your foreign policy?
A revolution is deeply needed in Cuba , deep overhaul of the economic system to enable more private sector participation in the economy, an overhaul of foreign policy to ensure US lifts its sanctions on Cuba...
Cuba must bow to the USA, there's no two ways about it ...

Libya

Perfect example of A State within a State...
The east of Libya is ruled by khalifa Haftar...he has his own army and engages in foreign diplomacy, he is an ally of Russia, the UAE and the RSF of sudan... indirectly supporting Hemedti in his war against the Sudan Army
A revolution is needed in Libya,a revolution that brings about unity and restore the authority of the government...
The both sides in Tripoli and the east should find a compromise and unite the oil rich nation

It is Iran that is destroying Lebanon. Lebanon (a Christian majority country) accepted Palestinian refugees into their country. Iran started sponsoring the refugees Palestinians into various terrorist activities, established, armed and finance hezbollah to attack and destroy Lebanese Christians, economy and government 🤔
That's why no arab country is willing to allow Palestinian refugees into their country today. They'll rather continue to give them handouts.

The case of Lebanon is really crazy... Iran has really huge role in Lebanon, and it is destabilizing the govt...
Another weird thing is presence of Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon where the Lebanese govt has no jurisdiction over...
Sometime last year, factional Palestinian groups engaged each other in a shootout and it was difficult for the Lebanese Army to intervene, i can't remember what doused the tensions tho ..but it goes to show how weak the Lebanese state is
