obedience4: You still believe all those tales by moonlight by nasa, you landed a man on the moon and has been struggling to land a gadget on the same moon after 50yrs. I might believe this on since it is a private company like space x. Even Armstrong didn't believe a spacecraft can re used until elon proved him wrong. 1 Like |

Krismas: Because ...money. One moon landing cost a lot of money. The problem was, the American government and senate only agreed to do the moon thing because they wanted to 'beat the Soviets'. Once they had done that, the money for further moon landings was not available. The truth is, space exploration is very expensive. A lot of Americans tolerated the moon landing for pride. Once that was achieved... Not only USA. Some years ago, India sent a craft to Mars. Many Indians took to the internet to ask their government why they were willing to waste 300 million dollars on a tiny craft to mars, instead of spending it on poor people at home. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

How can NASA claim to land a manned space craft on the moon 60yrs ago with outdated technology, and f has failed to repeat the feat even with advanced tech in their possession up till now? And u still believe they actually landed a manned spacecraft on the moon. They all lied, both america and russia, they faked d moon landings in studios, do your research. 1 Like |

obedience4: You call someone a clown while you are the real clown who believes anything without real criticism. Your first paragraph just gave you away...@ using gps because of advancement in space technology. What concerns space technology and moon landing? Are you telling us that moon is synonymous with space? You should as well criticize people for identifying a hollywood movie location as swimming pool instead of an ocean as captured in a movie production You don't need moon landing to produce electricity or advance in technology. All raw materials are abundant on planet earth, so people could be right when they say moon landing is a hoax, since you can generate images with materials made from earth 1 Like |

Artscollection: The USA put a man on the moon. You can pretend it was a lie, but in the 1960's the USA did put a man on the moon. Even if you don't believe, you can believe the USSR...who actually gave the USA some mementos to place on the moon (one in memory of Yuri Gargarian of blessed memory). And who were monitoring the flight of the Apollo 11 from A to Z. And who had spies all over the US industrial complex , who would have confirmed if any lying was going on. They did not. Yes, the US has not gone back since 1972 because one moon landing cost a whole lot of money. American taxpayers of those days were sold the moon landing /tolerated the moon landing on the idea that they needed to beat the USSR In the space race. (And the USSR had an active lunar landing project. Alexei Leonov, the first man to walk in space, whould have been the first man on the moon...unfortunately the USSR was unable to fix the problems with the rocket they used). Once the soviets were beaten, funding for NASA was cut. Sad , but that's the way things are. Governments often get criticsed for 'wasting money on space exploration' (see how India got criticised by its own people for its successful Mars project...government was wasting money apparently). Finally, there was a lot of research that went into the moon landing...starting with rocketry testing in the 1940's. Neil Armstrong, before he became a pilot, was testing spaceplanes...ie planes that were essentially flying at very very high altitudes..some even suborbital...by the 1950's. The guy did not become a lunar piliot by chance..read his biography. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Krismas: Enlightened me then! Here we are battling "global boiling" , earth quakes and plastic pollution and you want to justify the humongous resources being deployed into R & D just to conquer a territory that is incompatible with human existence? Besides taking the cold war to a new frontier and just maybe exploring for rare metals, what possible leverage does the myriad of activities on the south pole of the moon accord mankind? |

CHARLOE: Now you are saying the russians lied? Okay o. Why would two antagonistic nations join hands to lie to someone like you? For what? Who does it serve? Anyway, as at 1967, both the US and the USSR had space programes which were both planning manned missions to the moon. |
