grin because of money? are you wyning me? wen has space X ever complained to you about being broke? wen they even thinking of transporting people to see space? so answer the question without delay grin why has there been no other known human landings on the moon, if the first is true

Well, I know that when Nigeria sent sattelites into space, people complained about the money spent. Same thing when India sent a robotic mission to Mars.

As at the time of the lunar landing, the USA had a large poverty problem (yes, it was not as bad as other nations, but to many Americans, no one should be poor in their country) and was fighting a war in Vietnam that was costing them a lot of money, and did not end till 1972. And also had a massive aid program to poorer countries. And it was spending a lot of money to combat all these issues.

And they were also spending billions to send about 15 or so men to the moon.

See how it burdens their budget already.?

The only reason why the American congress supported the moon landing was to beat the Soviets. Once done, the show was over. Many Americans wanted an end to the spending too.

That has not stopped NASA from doing other projects

1. Mars : Mariner series (1965),Viking 1 and 2 1976, and several others from 1996.
2.Jupiter: Pionner 11 and 12, Gallileo, Cassini (1974, 1994, 2005/6)
3.Saturn : Voyager 1 and 2, 1980, Cassini HYugens, 2006
4.Uranus, Neptune (Voyager 1 and 2).
5.Mercury : Mariner (1965)

Let's even talk about the USSR
1.Moon: Two unmanned probes 1971
2.Venus: Venera series 1970's and 80's
3.Mars: Several probes 1960's and 70's.
4. Space stations : Salyut, Mir, etc etc.

GPS was developed using satellite technology (the math was invented by a black woman, by the way)...which satellite tech is part of space technology, which involves landing on the moon and on other planets...

You see when you sell a propaganda, it is easier to see through. Any enlightened nairalander, would agree with me, the context of your submission, suggest an artificial material (satellite) made from earth materials and placed in a delusive environment.

The USA put a man on the moon. You can pretend it was a lie, but in the 1960's the USA did put a man on the moon.

Even if you don't believe, you can believe the USSR...who actually gave the USA some mementos to place on the moon (one in memory of Yuri Gargarian of blessed memory). And who were monitoring the flight of the Apollo 11 from A to Z. And who had spies all over the US industrial complex , who would have confirmed if any lying was going on. They did not.

Yes, the US has not gone back since 1972 because one moon landing cost a whole lot of money. American taxpayers of those days were sold the moon landing /tolerated the moon landing on the idea that they needed to beat the USSR In the space race. (And the USSR had an active lunar landing project. Alexei Leonov, the first man to walk in space, whould have been the first man on the moon...unfortunately the USSR was unable to fix the problems with the rocket they used). Once the soviets were beaten, funding for NASA was cut. Sad , but that's the way things are. Governments often get criticsed for 'wasting money on space exploration' (see how India got criticised by its own people for its successful Mars project...government was wasting money apparently).

Finally, there was a lot of research that went into the moon landing...starting with rocketry testing in the 1940's. Neil Armstrong, before he became a pilot, was testing spaceplanes...ie planes that were essentially flying at very very high altitudes..some even suborbital...by the 1950's. The guy did not become a lunar piliot by chance..read his biography.

There is no propaganda. It is a fact of history the US landed on the moon, and it is a fact of history they did it first.

It does not make the US a good or nice country, they are still imperailstic, and there are no good countries, just interests.....but they landed a man or men on the moon.

You can shout propaganda, but I believe in the advances the US, USSR and many other countries have made in space exploration. I always feel happy whichever country does anything in space. I don't have to bother about propaganda.

Besides, the Russians obviously believe the USA put men on the moon, as they had spies all over the USA, and were monitoring the whole thing via satellite.

But at the end, you are free to believe that the USA never landed men on the moon. It's your life, and it does not cause me or anyone else any harm. I am free to believe they did, and it does not make me a propagandaist.

The only dissapointment I have is that the money has not been enough to send more manned exploration to the moon, Mars, or even deep space. And that we don't have technology to explore the myriads of other planetary systems that exist out there.

Maybe one day...

Well, I doubt that the US and USSR would have wasted billions on space programmes for propaganda things. This was an effort involving scientists on both sides, which yielded a lot of inventions and stuff , some of which you use today. (Fiberglass is an obvious example).

Apollo 11 was the first crewed mission to land on the Moon, on 20 July 1969. There were six crewed landings between 1969 and 1972, and numerous uncrewed landings, with no soft landings happening between 22 August 1976 and 14 December 2013

All those wars too drain them of money.(Arthur Clarke blamed the VIetnam war for not allowing the US do more in space)

Plus, natural deposits abound in the USA, and they can just simply buy them.

Definitely, moon landing generally, is the biggest scam you can ever think of after Religion. What's even the difference.

What is the rationale behind landing on an object that supplies the earth... What is scientific about moon landing? Give details.
What materials are you looking for in the moon that's so special and can't be found on earth?
Why are they not quick to cross the lines at the Antarctica on planet earth, give us more information, rather than placing restrictions?
Why are there so many sites on planet earth, placed with global restrictions?

They must have factored all those indices before the lunar exploration and there has been several failed attempts that have not been in the public domain for some reasons. Lunar exploration is a very lucrative one if you can come up with the technology to harness the potential. If they could land man in d 70's i strongly believe that the same technology could have evolve by now. Elon musk is building a starship That is one aspect of lunar exploration n he listed alot of other obstacles that need to be taken care of which i Believe wasnt possible then.
