This appointment dates are only available for first time F1 student right? Cus I keep checking and no dates available for me and I have been denied once, last year September .
Have you paid a fresh visa fee? I think there was a 6 month waiting rule sometime ago do you know if that is still in force? That may be why you can’t find a date.

This exchange rate has become a menace and it’ll make a lot of people with no means abandon their travel process. So unfair.
I would advice you wait till the end of March, then you would be in right category to get a date (not being denied in the last 6months)

I hope there is interview date in america embassy by june?
dangers of having a dolt as president. It sucks but it is what it is.

I don’t think it might be a concern because rarely would VO punch calculator to view the exchange rate against how much you have there.

They just go with a rough estimate. I think you should be fine. Half the time, they might not request for your POF.

What I would suggest you focus on is how to defend your reasons for wanting to go to the US.

Hi. My name is Mark. I got married in 2019, and the marriage didn't progress, and we finally went to our separate ways, although without court pronouncing the marriage dissolved. When I got admission two years ago, I was advised to still maintain M as marital status, and that made me retain my ex name in the DS 160 form (bc i haven'tremarriedas at then). Now, I have legally gotten a divorced certificate after high court dissolved the marriage, and I have remarried this year. My question is, am I supposed to write to the embassy attaching the certificate to notify them before retrieving my old ds 160 form or I can change it (i mean entering my new wife details) without their notice and hope it will not affect me or the chances of my new spouse getting visa

Thanks for your expected responses

Have you gotten a visa? Have you attended any interview? Are you in Nigeria?

Kindly advice
My sister has a degree in chemistry , started working in the bank six years ago .Now she wants to apply for schools in the US.

Is it advisable to go for an MBA or apply for undergraduate nursing in a community college,as she intend to switch to nursing later on.

Will the undergraduate option favor her at the embassy?based on the work experience and school gap.

Or she should do MBA ,to prove hometies at the embassy
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Keyin: 6:52pm On Feb 24
Am already in US since two years. Just want my new spouse to join me but currently my documentation in the embassy still bears the name of my ex. That is why I am asking if I should write to the embassy with the divorce papers or move directly to retrieve my old ds 160 and change it without their consent (if it is possible bc I haven't tried retrieving ds 160 before)

You don’t need to send the document to the embassy. Fill a new DS160 for your new spouse. Make sure she takes the divorce certificate and your new marriage certificate to the embassy for her interview.

You do not need to send anything to embassy to edit.

I want to use this opportunity to plead that you make sure that divorce certificate is original. You will Jeopardize all that you have worked for here if they find any forged documents in the application. Nobody can remedy this for you not even a lawyer.

A lot of people are in deep shit here and they have their entire career ruined and have to leave the US because they submitted forged divorce certificate.

A lot of people claimed married and procured fake marriage certificate to prove home ties to get visa. When they get here and need to remarry or get green card benefit, they needed to divorce their spouse since they claimed married during their visa application. Most of them went and procured fake divorce certificate from Nigeria.

Also, know that they can verify any documents and they have Nigerians working for them and they have every means to verify any documents or marriage certificate.

She should go for an MBA, when she gets here, she can decide her options.

MBA is her top chance at getting a visa.

Thank you so much for this. Please where and how can I get admission counselor you talk about. Please kindly assist

Hey 🤠

Why not climb up the ladder (in PhD Psychology ) in order for you to be better equipped to work in human resources, sales, or other careers where you can put your knowledge of human behavior to use ?

1. Instead of enclosing yourself in a pathway of Disability studies why not chose a major (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work etc ) that can take you to any other (in case of change of plans ) career aspects ie , business , politics etc in the future ?

2. For your US F-1 admission preparation , you have a good educational background already as well as a respected career . Send email to various Universities in the US (target your desired departments ) and reveal your academic qualifications and your present job as well as your future plans to them. You should meet a good admission counselor who will guide you towards a better program of study in your desire career .

Best Wishes 🙏

Thank you so much. Your response is a perfect guide. The divorce certificate is a genuine one. The marriage was pronounced dissolved by court of competent jurisdiction. Thank you once more!

Even if you’re taking Mpower loan, I will advise that you get a sponsor in Nigeria and not use it as your sponsorship.

The VO will reason that how can you pay back without you trying to work in the U.S. There is no way you can pay back such amount of money returning to Nigeria.

They should revoke and ban them for life across all school system.

They are writing GRE for people in absentia.
