If not that APC members love politics more than their lives, these are the kinds of technocrats that should be made the power minister.

Na for APC government lawyer be power and aviation ministers. Those people don't care about development; they are just after the next election!

When he was minister, what was the outcome?

I guess you just started following political events.

Few years ago, Igbo constituted substantial part of federal govt. We knew how Nigeria started running downward and for APC to now totally run it aground.

Geometric power project is Nigeria’s only integrated power project.
It is Licensed to both generate and distribute electricity

Nigeria has one of the best brain in the world in matters of power, in Prof. Barth nnaji but tribalism , nepotism , useless politicking and stupidity has kept the nation in darkness.

I remember the tremendous increase in power when he was minister. I dont know what he did bit i was having 18-20 hours of sure electricity everyday.
The very day he left , it didnt take upbto 6hrs, power went back to flat.

Nnaji also revealed that if the 188-megawatt Geometric Power Plant in Aba and the Aba Power distribution company in Osisioma Industrial Layout had been situated in Ikeja, the Ilupeju Industrial Estate in Lagos State, the Agbara Industrial Layout in Ogun State, or somewhere in the vicinity of the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, they would have been more profitable ventures.

“The return on investment would have been quicker and bigger (in these locations)

Nothing can give as much fulfillment and satisfaction as working wholeheartedly for your people,” he added.

End of story.

The increase in power back then was due to the raining season. Power generation was not any better.

From the quote you boldened.... can't you see your so called technocrat is nothing but a bigot.

He even used his own mouth to confess it.

He chose his ethnic place over a place he admitted would have been more 'profitable for such venture'
You sound daft not know know he's more interested in the development of Aba than profiteering. If FG refused to develop the East, individuals will do it.

You want him to come and develop your village and when he's done you will remember he's Omo Igbo then tell him to "go back to East". You will scream how he wants to take over Lagos.

Corruption? That's a big lie!

Conflict of interest? Yes!

Dude was already building power stations all over the place before he was made power minister. Afterwards, he was asked to step aside during privatisation because he cannot set the examination and still participate in it.

However, the time he was power minister, Nigerians experienced a significant improvement in power supply. No, I don't expect you to admit this because you are a typical APC glutton who will write or say anything to defend these crooks in power!

Under APC, national grid dey collapse like say tomorrow no dey! APC is a curse to Nigeria!

You are talking ignorantly
That train has left the station
He was power minister before
What did he achieve?
He was sacked for corruption
The power Ministry is more or less dead
It has been hollowed out
Power is Now privatised
There is much less scope of work for the power Minister
Rather what is needed is for the president to create the right environment for capital to enter and that has been happening even under Buhari. COVID slowed his initiatives down. But this project could not have been achieved without the support of Buhari
So a power Minister is not such a big deal
If this could be achieved by the private sector in Aba with the current Minister it can be achieved anywhere regardless of who is Minister

cheesy cheesy..you are very funny, thesame Nigeria that experiences power outage a lot during raining season cos of excuse of wind storm falling electricity poles as we are made to believe here? Give credit to whom credit is due. Power supply was reasonable under Barth. I can recall having almost 24/7 power with few minutes interruption then.

So he should come back to repeat the class and fail again....

He is a technocrat, possibly not a good manager.....

Second power performance is not down to any Minister

Funny enough, Barth Nnaji was minister of power during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. He was forced out of office for corruption and conflict of interest in the privation process.
I guess conflict of interest was used to rub him out with corruption scandals.

Stop justifying stupidity!

The smartest Nigerians who were brought back to Nigeria to serve happened under the PDP.

On the other hand, APC is an Association of Past Crooks who hire fellow criminals to loot the resources of this country. That's why Nigeria fared better under PDP than APC.

You can argue from now to the end of the world, but you don't need a mirror to see a wristband.

Who are those smartest Nigerians?

Ibos ruined Jonathan govt.

Okonjo iweala was a calamity under Obj and Gej.

Obj was disappointed that he removed her from finance to foreign. She resigned later to save face.
A barrel of oil was over $150 during Gej. Everything was mismanaged under okonjo, and Nigeria started borrowing money.

In the days of regional govt, ibos paraded the worst leaders.

When south east could not match other regions, Azikwe connived with ibo soldiers to murder his fellow politicians and returned Nigeria to unitary govt.

goodluck didn't sack him he was the best minister under Jonathan, he resigned so that his company can participate in the ongoing power privatisation then

Former President goodluck Jonathan did not sacked Nnaji rather he resigned so that his company will buy government power plant because it is illegal and against due process for any public officer holder to purchase government assets.

The man chose his company over his job and today he's proud about his decision
