How did you arrive at this calculation based on the voltage and AHs (24V, 280AH) you gave? Valto: |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Valto(m): 9:49am On Mar 04 |
ojesymsym:280ah x 8pcs x 3.2v =7.168kwh 2 Likes |

Good morning fellow enthusiasts, I'm curious if anyone has experience with back feeding excess PV harvest into their grid supply. My inverter has this feature, which allows me to do so. I'm wondering if it's possible for my prepaid meter to roll backwards, enabling me to buy back some units from the grid. I appreciate your prompt response and wish you all a fantastic week ahead. Best regards, |

DaniellaDokubo: Bro, just block it or disconnect it. The prepaid meters in Nigeria, you will be charged for back feeding to the grid. It means which ever way current flows the meter will be reading and depleting your units. |

So, can I use these with existing 300W panels I bought brand new? Trippledots: |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by icjunior(m): 12:01pm On Mar 04 |
There is a huge disparity in prices of jinko panels between Gennex and fouani. Gennex is not aware? 475w on fouani is 144,900 465w on Gennex is 172,500 |

icjunior: No mind Gennex, make them dey play there. Them go say na when dollar high them buy the PVs. Fouani all the way at the moment when it comes to Pv purchase. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by TechGeek777: 12:34pm On Mar 04 |
Valto: Nigerians are quick to increase prices. Fuoani is becoming more popular when it comes to Pv purchase. With the current economic state, naija needs quality products that's not a too expensive. |

Valto: Dollar is now 1531 @ official rate compared to 1637+ as at last week. It will keep going down. Sellers should use they brain to sell goods and not waiting for too much profits. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 12:43pm On Mar 04 |
jikaseo: Technically speaking yes. But getting a brand new one of same make and specs as the existing ones is the best option, if money is not a problem. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by jidobaba(m): 12:43pm On Mar 04 |
Trippledots:clearance sale at 86k but I got a quote of 70k for 300w(72 cells) tokunbo mono panels from the same Alaba. What's the catch? Cos I'm sure the Alaba guys are up to something again. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 12:56pm On Mar 04 |
jidobaba: Just be sure of your source's expertise and integrity. It took me a lot of stress before I found where I could get correct capacity panels. Then I decided to start selling to help plug that gap of fake capacity panels. This is a side hustle for me as I have a day job. But, I have noticed most buyers would rather go for cheaper panels or close price but higher label capacity. And they usually turn out to be relabelled ones. 🙂 1 Like |

jidobaba:why buy 500w toks panels for 150k, 400w 130k, 250w panels relabelled as 300w 70k. when u can get brand new jinko 550w from fouani for 161k toks wey u never know if it has been used for over 10yrs 4 Likes |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:09pm On Mar 04 |
DaniellaDokubo: abeg na which Country you and your Solar setUp dey ? because to best of ma knowledge, such feature ain't available yet in our country Nigeria. MoreOver, have you generated and harvested enough to satisfy your needs firstly ? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:12pm On Mar 04 |
jikaseo:YeS. Just have it at back of your mind that should those relabelled Solar panels be 200w , then even those your 300w solar panels would act like 200w. but so long those relabelled solar panels are above 300w , you have no issue so long your charge controller can handle the overall capacity. |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:16pm On Mar 04 |
jidobaba:could be relabelled or they're HONEST |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:20pm On Mar 04 |
jidobaba:Pictures and even videos sef won't help. before we started talking about relabelled solar panels, I already shared how this guys do it. See eh, except you're buying from recognized outlet (even those sometimes ain't fool-proof), it's better you just go for USED. Once again, there are several reasons I don't recommend solar Panels above 300w and this relabelling is one of them |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Obnoxious2001(m): 9:59pm On Mar 04 |
DaniellaDokubo: Our prepaid meter doesn't support it. Besides which sub station to you want to send it to? Your best bet is to sell the electricity to your neighbours. It will require 2 Meters, the consumer and your monitoring system. |

For this panel matter, make we talk true it seem like Alaba come dey cost for original capacity. Men I installed some fairly used today, and it was just too clean to be fairly used. If that panel reach Alaba, Na new one then go sell am as after them don put the cartoon, knack am Canadian solar |
