I have a question for you about learning German in Goethe Institut. Was it worth it? I want someone I know to try their online class? Or do you recommend a physical class? How long did it take you to get to B2? How fluent are you?

Hello, hi. So your questions
-Is it worth it? In the long run, yes.
-About physical or online classes, I’m someone who can’t do online classes, I believe to build relationships with my teachers and there’s that feeling of being in a community with your class members. If I should suggest, I’d say Physical Class.
-It took me 10 months to get to a B2 class (depends on how much you study).
-For fluency, I’m as fluent as the B2 certificate says I am.

The embassy just needs you to show you have it for six months. Their assumption is that you're based there for the past six months, but it's not a must. All you need is the RP validity duration

Thanks for the answer. What of in a case where the person has resident permit valid for 1 year and he received the permit in February. However, he got an appointment date for April, can the person still go ahead to attend the interview? Knowing fully well that he has held the permit only for two months before the interview?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Radianceprince(m): 6:16am On Mar 05
no is the answer because your official stay is less than six month except you can say you have being living there and your current permit is the renew one. Germans always find out the truth themselves.

Hello Everyone, I just got my Goethe B2 certificate, (mind you I applied for an Ausbildung Visa early April 2023) met someone who also applied for an Ausbildung visa but in April 2022 and till now she hasn’t gotten any AD from the embassy
I have a series of Questions if I may….
1. How long does it normally take.
2. Do you advise I go do residency in Cameroon (if so how much time does it take).

I have a question please, I already have a bsc in computer science already completed and I have a bsc addmission in electronic engineering in humm germany for winter semester, please I want to ask if I won't have a problem at d embassy on studying a second bsc degree in germany....expect AD by November....please reply

Do you have good programming skill, if yes no need to school is waste of time. even if you dont and your filed of study is in the bottle neck profession you can still come here without stress and work. a degree in computer science makes it easy

Hello everyone,
I have come again cheesy it's been a long time.
I finally got admitted to study Masters in Data and Computer Science in Universität Heidelberg but there's a little hassle for me: I would like to defer my admission to winter semester instead of the summer semester they asked me to resume for in April. Is anyone familiar with that?

This would be the best for me because I have some loose ends to tie up. I already work full-time in Germany (Blue Card) and I am just trying to sort some stuff out here then find a place in Heidelberg to make a smooth transition.

no need to defer your admission, because your application information already says you reside in germany, it can be hard to have sufficient reason. assuming you are already enrolled its easy, just enroll pay semester fee dont take any course or check the one that is entirely online and take it. you have a maximum of 5 years to complete your studies.

This is not entirely right, please confirm information before assuring people. I would like to correct that you cannot use "any person" as a sponsor. There are requirements the person has to meet and this is available per city (I am very aware of the Munich restrictions because I tried to sponsor my friend here). The salary restriction was not an issue for me, but the KVR guy had to explain they can't allow me sponsor her because of the duration of my residence permit. I have a blue card which is valid for four years and is even longer than the program she wants to study which is a 3-year program. He said I need a permit that is valid for at least five years to qualify to sponsor someone for long-stay. This means I need a PR at least from the best of my knowledge because blue card is still the longest temporary visa I know of here (4 years validity). I would like to also clarify that she is already here in Germany self, but in renewing her student permit for a new program she needed to show proof of funds. We got another close person to us who already has citizenship here to help with the sponsorship.
pls Do you still hv someone that can help for a fee
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Radianceprince(m): 6:57am On Mar 05
yes if you have a residence permit in that schengen country
Chaigogo22:
Is it possible to migrate to a Schengen country and from there move to Germany for academic purposes? Already have ongoing studies in a German university.

Pls help if you are knowledgeable in this.

Thank you.

Hello guys, i have problem with my DOB on waec and i graduated with first class in computer science. Can i use my old neco with art subject to apply for masters ? Hope they won't be any issue with the subjects in art and degree in computer science?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Radianceprince(m): 7:15am On Mar 05
let me add to the response. i will not advise austria because u can spend on the process and not get admission. they can say u shd renew ur special entrance letter or eligibility letter
Hannania:
Here's the process for Austria:

- Authenticate your documents at MOE
- Apply for a date at the Austrian Embassy for verification of your authenticated Documents(200k fixed price)

- When the verification is done, you'd be called to legalize your documents. This cost €80 per document. If you're going for masters, please legalize just transcripts, BSC certificate and WAEC. Some please do for all which will cost more.

- When you have your documents legalized, you can now apply for schools which is easy.

- With your admission ready, you'll send the embassy an email for visa appointment which takes only 3 weeks.

Now lets do a sample calculation, The authentication at MOE will cost you around 20 - 30k plus the 200k for verification, and then the current exchange rate used at the Austrian Embassy for Euros is 121k for €80. For 3 documents, that's 360k. Total will be roughly 600k.

Go ahead and think about semester fee, residence permit fee, accomodation, and finally flight. The rough part is the verification and legalization.

I really hope she will get it this week. I hope they didn’t skip her cause that would be sad.

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Radianceprince(m): 7:23am On Mar 05
A Village offer you more opportunity because less competition and peace of mind if u hv family to keep you company its cool
djlaqua91:

If you fall into category-B, better to seek alternatives as you also run the German admission. To be safe. You can find opportunities almost anywhere in life, but I meant a city of 200k or 3million will definitely offer more to you than a village town of 50k inhabitants.

Also admissions can be deferred if visa interview dates are an issue. When the time arises, you can tell the school to present you a new/current admission letter.

Let's hope. I've never seen a case of skipped days. If she doesn't get this week, ask her to attempt booking again with her passport. If it's successful, it means she didn't book(maybe she thought she did). To verify this, please search "Lagos consulate" on the email inbox, and confirm the booking date. From the results, you can also see if she canceled.

If you see only the booking, screenshot it, then attach it and send an email to the embassy.

This is dangerous. You would have applied for summer admission then enrol and skip this summer semester so that your admission is valid. With the current pace(currently July), expect your date in may(19 months 2-3 weeks).

Unless you apply to a school this month and the admission will be available next month, get ready to pay for private school tuition which cost an average of €4000 per semester. Embassy expects you to pay for one year tuition which amounts to €8000 or you'll get a rejection. That's the major rejection case for German student visa.

So if you can't get admission before June(Your AD date), that visa is gone

This also happened to me. As far as her passport is still in the system, she will get her AD in the coming days. The possible explanation for this was that the day she booked, was not the day she received confirmation email from the embassy, Probably a few days later. The confirmation email from the embassy is the date you follow, and not the date you booked

The current timeline is those that booked mid July that are getting AD against for mid April. So expect your AD around July or ending June. Do deep research and Google the university offering ur area of interest, check admission dates and apply for winter semester in schools that indicate they offer admission letter early or offer rolling admission. Try university of Hamburg. Also apply for less competitive courses that has some sort of link to either your bachelor's or work experience. If uni assist delays you, make sure you're also applying to schools that don't use uni assist
