Mind you, solar gen is not advisable because many of such generator has inflated capacity and when it get spoilt, that's the end
.
I'm happy you used the word "manny" and not all.
I build my solar generators with quality/real capacity Eve 12v 50ah cells with 2 years warranty. I tested them with my house appliances before selling to my customers.

Good morning all, my inverter refused to charge yesterday immediately nepa brought light.
There was no light in one of the nepa line so I changed to another phase and there was light

I suddenly heard a kind of alarm sound coming from the inverter and when I went to check, it wasn't charging. Only the indicator on the body of the inverter for when there's nepa light was displaying.

Pls any idea of what could have happened below is the model of the inverter and also the charge controller I'm using

Lol u have successfully smoked your inverter.
Take it to a repair center. If de finish repair it,pls before remounting install protection first... your setup is orone to all manner of high/low voltage or cuurents not forgetting surges

NO

if you check, you see the columns have headers titled "Application" , "Charging Voltage" , "initial Current"

and that your 80Amps falls under "initial Current". Now that means you shouldn't draw more than 80Amps at a time during cycle use.

if you want to identify the charging current, just look for a word that starts with letter C followed by 2-digits and if you look on the battery body, you would see C10 . Now that's the charge current.

Now, you really don't need those information to successful charge such battery when using a charge Controller or even a reputable charger because they do have charging profiles where you select the battery type.
What about in a situation where external charge controller is charging based on AGM profile via solar, and inverter is also charging thesame battery via Nepa light, each delivering its own Amps quota into the battery, now wont that be too much amperage getting into the battery from different source?

But you seem to be mistaken the C10 on the battery.

Let's also remember we have C20.
And 0.25c written on some batteries

If mains is available, does it blink charging?

The fault can be anything.
Just be sure the inverter can still invert.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jirilistic(m): 2:34pm On Mar 07
Chaii cry

It still works though just that it doesn't charge with nepa only through the panels and when I plugged freezer this afternoon it beeped showing the overload sign(which it doesn't do b4 now). Thanks for your input. I'll definitely be getting protection.pls which do you recommend and like how much is the price

Yes the mains blinks when there's nepa light but the charge indicator doesn't come on anymore.the inverter still works Sha but it doesn't charge with nepa only sun

Bros, it is like you've burned your inverter AC fuse that could have resulted from powering huge load via d auto-switch of the inverter. Just get a solar installer to help u check the rating of the fuse n replace it

don't get you.

I only gave him an idea on how to identify the information He's looking for.

That's why I said it starts with Letter C , then followed by 2-digits. As for wether C10 or C20 , they both qualifies the example I stated.

As for 0.25c , well those are rare especially for the battery type

Please I want to get a pwm charge controller that I can use temporarily for a 300watt solar panel until I can get an mppt charge controller.
I know both are pwm but which should I go for.

Well, mine is 0.1v difference.
To confirm, you need a dc meter to determine which is correct.

Well done professionals in the house.
Please I'm on a budget and I need a list of solar materials (with durable not too expensive brands) that I need to setup a solar system. Let's say 5kva system with lithium ion battery. I would like to buy the most expensive materials (battery, panel, inverter etc) of the setup myself then leave the others to installation engineer. Thank you sirs.
@bassdow and other professionals, please help.

Due to Price Fluctuations, I will just give a range.
Battery - LFP 5KWH, 1.3M to 1.5M
Panel - minimum 2.5KWp - 6 units of 435watts - 700K to 750K
Hybrid Inverter - 5KW - 550K to 600K
Solar Accessories and Mounting cost - 70K.
Solar cable budget 15 Meters at 4500 - 70K
Breakers AC and DC.
SDP AC and DC.

this is just a rough estimate.. if you have further questions you can chat me - at 081-323-94478

Didn't include COSTs because those are Location and Time dependent.
βœ“ 5kva Inverter
βœ“ 12v/200Ah Tubular battery Minimum 4pcs OR single 48v/5kWh LFP battery
βœ“ Battery rack - Capacity dependent on Number of Batteries.
βœ“ Solar panels (16pcs of 300watts) OR (12pcs of 400watts) OR (12pcs of 435watts) OR (10pcs of 500watts)
βœ“ Solar rails depending on Total number of Solar Panels
βœ“ Cable for solar and inverter connection - Dependent on distance.
βœ“ Breakers AC and DC.
βœ“ SDP AC and DC.
βœ“ 60Amps to 100Amps MPPT Solar charge controller.
βœ“ Other Solar Accessories

Didn't include COSTs because those are Location and Time dependent.

Hopefully, you didn't blindly decide on a 5KVA system. Most times, except you know what you doing OR willing to put in the required work, you need someOne in that field to do thing correctly.

Thank you for the response. What brand of the lithium LiFePO4 battery and inverter would you suggest and where can I get genuine/original one.

As for the Panel, I have decided to settle for Jinko (from Fouani)
