Why should this happened in a country where we are struggling to come out of hunger. What devils entered this people to commit this type of unpardonable offense. Killing one is an insult to military, and in this case even top military officers killed for their families not to see them again. Is only God that can stop the outcome of what they have done. MAY THE SOULS OF THOSE KILLED REST IN PEACE AND MAY GOD FORGIVE THEIR MISTAKES WHILE THEY WERE ALIVE. TO THEIR FAMILIES MAY GOD STRENGTHEN YOU ALL. |

Jakumo: That is wrong approach the military usually take, especially in the South. They should rather gather intelligence to fish out those behind the attacks. Burning all houses around, arresting young men and raping the ladies are not solutions |

Namaster:No big deal about dealing with criminal elements among the Ijaws based on past historical events. Yes, the creeks of the Niger Delta are vast, but essentially, the amnesty program had something to do with the air, land and sea components of the Nigerian Military not going full throttle against these guys. There are powerful air surveillance platforms that can smoke these guys out in the Military. Watch the video of Operation Awatse of July 2016 that led to the destruction of Ijaw criminal elements who also engaged in brutal kidnappings, rapes, murders, pipeline vandalisms in the South West being smoked out of Arepo in Ogun State among other places by the Nigerian Air force. First off, Gbaramatu in Delta State was leveled down (on the orders of the former President Yar'Adua) by the Nigerian Military after Government Ekpemupolo who is otherwise known as Tompolo and his goons killed many soldiers in an unprovoked manner. It was the amnesty program that saved Tompolo's arse. Second, Odi in Bayelsa too was unfortunately leveled by the Military during the Presidency of OBJ. Likewise Zaki-Biam in Benue State. Even in the creeks of Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo States, the Ijaw pipeline vandals, kidnappers and robbery gangs who held the South West to ransom and operated freely in the Arepo area and other parts of Ikorodu and Epe, for instance during former President Goodluck Jonathan's government (leading to these Ijaw criminal elements killing 10 DSS officials in 2015 in the creeks of Arepo in Ogun) where BRUTALLY CRUSHED in July to August 2016 by the Nigerian Air force and other Military arms on the orders of former President Mohammed Buhari after the Ijaw criminals kidnapped a first-class Oba of Ibaland (Oniba of Iba) in Lagos State. Those among the Ijaw, rotten, criminal elements constituting themselves into a nuisance were smoked out and since then, there has been peace. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) again today struck at criminal hideouts and camps harbouring pipeline vandals at AREPO and environs. The latest air strike is in continuation of the aerial bombardment commenced by the NAF on Thursday 28 July 2016 to rid the affected areas of pipeline vandals and other criminal elements. The ongoing air operations is aimed at providing air support for the Joint Task Force recently set-up by the Defence Headquarters to dislodge pipeline vandals in the South West region of the Country in an operation codenamed OPERATION AWATSE. OyinO:You be Mu!mu. Is Israel killing their fellow Israel. So if Israeli robbers kill Israel soldiers in their own land, they will bomb the location like they are doing in Gaza. Is would have looked similar if Niger Republic soldiers attacked and killed your Nigeria soldiers then your Nigeria soldiers take the war to Niger Republic. No country in the world kill it citizens because some criminals killed soldiers, except the zoo called Nigeria. 2 Likes |

The Ijaws love trouble and killings. How do you kidnap and behead another man and kill soldiers that came for a peace talk..Let all the creeks housing the militants be mapped and bombed till everything is dead but the Civilians should be spared..You ambush and kill them all. Cut the road and cause problem in the water. |

Jakumo: I don't think the limited capacity NA would be so foolish to engage in unbridled reckless killing of innocent citizens in a scorched earth strategy. Within the Niger Delta. Do you really think all the militants gave up all their weaponry go and wake up the tiger and find out. 1 Like |

Namaster: You sound like a Gen Z. We're talking about collateral damage and you're talking fiction. The Nigerian military is going to level that community. In fact, it will spill over to neighboring communities. Do you know about Odi crisis in 1999 when soldiers and policemen were killed. The aftermath resulted in the army annihilating every living thing in that community. Nigeria is a jungle. There's absolutely no civility here |

God1blessBiafra:Show me the country where the citizens kill their military in a public community and drop your account number afterwards because you look hungry that you can't think properly. You think the national defence is a joke, even the Boko Haram knows our military is powerful, if not for politics they would be complete history by now. If our military can be intimidated and the people go into hiding then the nation is at a huge risk, unless you are a fool, you will know that when it results to this extent, innocents will follow, that's why people solicit for peace. 3 Likes |

The opposing community might have ambushed the military personnel. Unfortunately. , there won't be any investigation . That community will be raised to the ground. |

Civilian matter .... is it not for the Police to be involved? ... is it not the Police to maintain law and order? ... is it not for the Police to arrest and prosecute civilians? ... law breakers? If yes ... why is the military involved? ... isn't Nigeria supposed to be a democracy?... we were condemning Niger coup .... and demanding democracy be restored while we operate like we are under military rule with the military involved in civilian matters. What legal powers the military has to arrest civilians? ... do they know law to file charges? Military doing the job of Police and this is fine with us... we see nothing wrong ... or can justify it. Now we expect the military to retaliate... and the Police to stand by watch ... do nothing. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nothing glorious or hyped about killing soldiers unless u are at war and if u are at war u know u should be prepared the end and for the consequences of ur actions. If it is not war and u kill a soldier u have made a grave mistake. I'm sorry |

I think people would now have a bit of understand of the Israeli retaliation in Palestine. Await the words 'genocide', 'war crimes' and 'ethnic cleaning', etc as they come out from that part of the country very soon. RIP to our gallant fallen heroes.May their souls find the peace that their mortal bodies eluded in Delta state. |
