They tried this nonsense with Twitter and failed, so they know that they are doomed to fail in this venture as well. At this point they're just engaging in optics to please their gullible followers.

They will pay in the jurisdiction in which they were registered as a company.

Twitter was not registered under Nigeria's company laws, likewise Binance.

So it will be impossible for them to collect taxes on a company that is not registered under Nigeria's corporate laws.

Remember some weeks ago when they said that they had imposed a $10 billion fine on Binance, only for them to chicken out and deny it after the world started laughing at them?

When Baba Daura suspended Twitter, he gave a condition that they should have a physical office in Nigeria and pay taxes. Of course Twitter just ignored him.
