National Grid Collapses Again by ogododo: 10:15pm On Mar 28
Nigeria, on Thursday, suffered another national grid collapse.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company confirmed the development to its customers through its social media handles.

The AEDC said the national grid collapsed at about 4:28 pm, plunging the country into darkness.

“Dear valued customers, please be informed that the current power outage is due to a system failure from the national grid. The system collapsed at about 16:28 hours today 28 March 2024, causing the outage currently being experienced across our franchise area.

“We appeal for your understanding as all stakeholders are working hard to restore normal supply,” the Abuja DisCo said.

Also, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company said: “Dear valued customer, kindly be informed there was a system collapse at 16:28hrs which has resulted in a loss of power supply across our network.

“We are currently working with our partners as we hope for speedy restoration of the grid. We will keep you updated as soon as the power supply is restored. Kindly bear with us.

The PUNCH reports that the grid collapsed on February 4.

Recall that on December 12, 2023, The PUNCH reported that Nigeria witnessed a system collapse of its national grid, leading to a crash in power generation from 4,032.8MW to 43.5MW the preceding day.

Power generation figures obtained from TCN at the time showed that electricity on the system moved up to 115.4MW around 3 pm on December 11, 2023, before rising further to 240.9MW at about 4 pm.

Nigeria’s national power grid collapsed 46 times from 2017 to 2023, a report by the International Energy Agency said in a report.

According to the report, Nigerians endured more nationwide blackouts in 2023, especially on September 14 when the grid collapsed due to a fire on a major transmission line.

It appears that the Minister is being punished with this appointment. He is doing everything possible to be sacked and they are telling him that "you must do it. You must deliver”... Anuofia

Re: National Grid Collapses Again by zeyt: 4:39am On Mar 29
Nigeria need to have about 40,000 Megawatts for stable power supply. Currently the power generation stood at around 4000 Megawatts. Even if Nigeria decides to to generate above that the ageing and dilapidated power infrastructure well buckled. Nigeria is never serious in finding last solution in the power industry.

You will never hear that a national grid collapse in Ghana and Cameroon. Why is Nigeria things like this? As small as Ghana, you will never hear there is collapse of national grid. These are countries that have recorded uninterrupted power supply for 10 years straight.

Imagine having light for 10 years without blinking it. You can never see such in Nigeria. All these are some of the issues we have as a country and yet the female genders are adding more to it by becoming feminists just so to make things worse for all men in the country.

Now that Pocohantas has become the leader of the feminists on Nairaland, I just hope we will have fresh air to breathe with time.

These and more are some of the things we need to tackle and get rid of in this nation. Say no to feminism. Say no to power tussle with men. We call on all women and lesbians to be submissive to men and stop starving themselves of true love.

Let's not deceive the younger generation. Repent now all you feminists and flee from all form of insubordinations towards men now that you still have the time.

Let's those who have ear 👂 hear!
