Femi otedola getting ready, this people are almost predictable πππ... Currently its rating is 435MW...this more than double upgrade...the earlier you are solar ready,... The better.... Tony Elumelu put his power company in the Nigerian stock exchange last month... The power revolution is coming... But e go cost.

balogunsam:6Γ180 is 1080w which is beyond your charger controller. It shouldn't go beyond 700w or less. |

Now dat jinko panels are everywhere i expect to see clones around. How does one verify that he or she is buying an original jinko panel |

Dam5reey1: What if right source is supplying clones and inflating price? Way back Jinko 250-300w series, there use to be imprints of Jinko solar embedded in the panels surface. This new ones no dey get am oh. I don't mean to cause distress but is there any case for alarm 2 Likes |

Clearly only solar can save you during dry season, which is also when solar produces the most energy... Which is also when the heat is most unbearable... Instead of them to increase capacity and make more money.... Bayo onanuga is also hinting distribution companies will be allowed to increase the rate from 68 naira up to 200 naira per kwh this april.... 1 thousand naira that used to be 13 units is about to be 5 units....

Dam5reey1:It's not our of place for some sort of shenanigans to happen. The thing is how do we verify that they have been authorised? Even after authorisation (for professions that require licensing) I can still provide sales/services even without my renewal. Hope you understand where am driving at |

Obnoxious2001: Like say Jinko no get website or contact.. if you want to verify this is 2024.. nothing is hidden if you have access to Nairaland it means you have access to information and can verify anything you want. |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Queed: 1:31pm On Apr 03 |
Trippledots: Most of the 'inverter' termed devices (inverter fridge, watching machine etc) are typically switching power designed (aka SMPS), and a properly designed SMPS, built to handle above 100W should have active power factor correction ( PFC ) built into the design. In the absence of this PFC, the load (your inverter AC in this case) would affect the phase relationship of the inverter output, consequently affecting any meter equipment that depends on the standard current/voltage relationship to produce correct values. Also, Normal AC, fridge, washing machine general affect power factor, hence I suspect your meter to be the problem here, it seems to be unable to measure the correct power. |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by swagifted(m): 2:26pm On Apr 03 |
It's official, if you are in band A electricity is now 225 naira per kilowatt, that's about 300% percent increase. @isangjohnson you can see selling renewable at 200 naira when the epileptic one from distribution companies is more expensive no make sense again... So how about 400 naira kwh...you might make your money faster now. 1 Like

dollarnaira: Thank you for your response. So the 60A charge controller is too small for the 6x 180w panels? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by swagifted(m): 3:12pm On Apr 03 |
https://www.abujaelectricity.com/nerc-sbt-compliance/ omo , from here you can know whether you are affected by the price hike...if you are in wuse 2, asokoro, maitama...no worry , you go pay wotowoto. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira: 3:29pm On Apr 03 |
balogunsam: Not the 60A, but the capacity of a 12v system. Almost all charger controllers at 12v(one battery) of any amp of charger controller CANNOT DO ABOVE 700w. Your total wattage from the panels exceed what the cc can take. You are feeding the cc with 1080w (6Γ180w) instead of max of 700w. Check the label at the back of the cc as the info is there. |
