hermetic: Done. Actually took less than two mins. Interestingly enough, it’s an app I’d like to use if developed. Tired of driving long distances to play 5-a-side football. Good luck! 3 Likes |

Done. Nice and concise. If you can edit wouldn't you rather ask for region than town? Just thinking. Also, your gender options may need to be expanded based on 'our location and gender climate'. hermetic: 1 Like |

Good evening all, My younger brother has a Kenya woman who is British citizen and reside in London. They have not seen each before, just chat and calls for 7 months now. Now they are planning on getting married, my question now is How can they make it happen, where are they going to start from? My brother reside in Lagos Nigeria |

Hi everyone Which banks would you recommend for getting a mortgage. I am on a work visa. |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Schoolhike: 8:37pm On Apr 03 |
Please anyone have experience of updating updating visa by changing jobs or role on a sponsored role with the same employer. Currently sponsored on EO got HEO and saw on gov website that a new application will still be made with new IHS, is it possible to get refund for the previously paid Ihs when the current sponsorship is still leads than 2 months. |

opeoyek: First thing you need is a mortgage broker to get you a good deal from a financial institution. You can start off by reaching out to L&C Mortgages they offer free mortgage advices. https://www.landc.co.uk 19 Likes 8 Shares |

Lexusgs430: Thanks... not that the insurance was cheap. Thinking in line of a formal complaint before further escalation if need be. Sent them a straight-worded message yesterday. They agreed I could change the v5c address myself and send the updated one to them (sounds awkward) and they have taken a note for the relevant team to look into it. Annoyingly, its online only hence you can’t speak to anyone except when making a new claim. 1 Like |

Hi guys, I have a straightforward question for those that have successfully had a skilled worker visa transfer when changing 'employer' or have a good grasp of it. What is the cost implication of this process? I have done my research, but nothing beats the experience from others. Zahra29 et al... Thanks |

hermetic: Thanks guys!! I'm smiling as I am typing. I didn't know what to expect but I am overwhelmed. I have had 32 responses and counting in less than 24 hours. All of you that filled out the survey; your company wee nor burn, your well will never run dry and your endeavours will multiply a million fold. The guys especially came through! una too much. I know I was targeting at least 50 responses, unfortunately I am using a free version of surveymonkey so I am limited to seeing only the first 25 responses. I have included a few screen shots from the responses... 13 Likes

Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by ReesheesuKnack: 8:01pm On Apr 04 |
taalas: From my experience, your HR is being unreasonable (if indeed they are asking for a Right to Work Share code at this stage). You mean the company interviewed you, you met all their requirements , they issued you Certificate of Sponsorship. You used the CoS to apply for, and got a valid visa. The HR of that same company is asking you for a share code to prove your right to work, even when you’ve not yet resumed work (for them) This is a strange one to me. To attempt answering your question: Write back to the HR, with a copy of the Visa vignette stamped in your passport (if it hasn’t changed recently , the employer code will be clearly visible on the vignette). Tell the HR that the process is: Visa issued-UK entry-BRP collection-Share code generation. Simply put: you can’t (successfully) generate a RTW share code without a BRP. PS: I am a bit of a dinosaur so things may have changed. 6 Likes |
