winner37: God pardon devil? Did you see Him pardon Esau? Or pharoah or Cain? No dey hope useless hope. God does not go back on His Word especiallly as He has to avenge Himself of all the things devils have been doing to Him and His people, so lose hope. |

Jackanda1:people go to hell because of their sin, Jesus came to redeem people from sin but not every one will accept him hence they die in sin. God has given people evidence of his existence and power from the creation of the world if they sought God truly, they would have found him and he would have saved them through christ as Abraham who never knew christ in the flesh but was saved in Spirit by Jesus christ. The problem is people reject God and hence die in their sin so there is absolutely no excuse for anyone anywhere at any time however punishment defers due to the level of knowledge and goodness bestowed on them but in all nobody have any excuse. |
Re: Are There Degrees Of Punishment In Hell? by Ucheamani(m): 1:14pm On Apr 07 |
Jackanda1: You don't need to struggle with it. The answer is clear in the bible, the 1st set of sinners were punished with death (Genesis 3:19) not eternal torment in fire. The lake of fire spoken about as the reward for sinners means they will not exist again when God brings paradise, even death and grave will be cast into same fire meaning it won't exist anylonger ((Rev 21:14) then death will be no more (Rev 21:4) the two last scriptures mean the same thing, "cast into fire" "will be no more" they all correspond with the punishment for Adam which is death. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 shows the dead feel no pain. So they simply will not exist anylonger. The origin of eternal torment in hell is from Satan the Devil who told eve in Genesis 3:4-5 that they will not die after God said they will die - Geneis 3: 3 |

What about people who were unlucky to exist before the gospel got to their location? E.g people who lived and died before the gospel got to Nigeria. What about most people in countries e.g north korea and other such countries who have little to no knowledge about christ? That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world (John 1:9) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Heb 13 v eight). Before the manifestation of Jesus Christ the Son of God in the flesh, During His manifestation and afterwards; He always lights up the conscience of everyone, everywhere in every generation. For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another (Rom 2:13-15) Some people hear only the basics from their conscience (e.g., non-Jews born before the time of Christ and cultures where the gospel has not reached) whereas others hear the full gospel; either way, the same Jesus works through these channels. After all, no man comes unto the Father except by him (John 14:6). Job was not a Jew, yet became righteous because he was described as perfect, upright, fearing God and refraining from evil (Job 1:1). So, no man in any generation and in anywhere in the world has an excuse for rejecting Jesus Christ |

Jackanda1:I think the question should rather be: when was hell created? Was it created same time as heaven? Or was it after Jesus went to heaven? When really was it created for the devil and his angels before humans were later considered as partakers. 1 Like |

It's all just a necessary lie to enforce order and responsibility for one's actions, which is good btw. To instill the awareness of rewards and repercussions for all our actions. Thinking logically, spirit or soul has no body to be burnt. All what I think happens, is the soul reincarnating back to the world to attend to some unfinished business saddler: |

vdestro:I have questions for you. 1. Was Satan a perfect creation of God? 2. Did Satan fall before the creation of man? 3. If yes to both second questions, why did God not create a man that can't sin? 4. Will man fall again after reaching to heaven? If no, why wasn't man created to be like he will be after being in heaven from the start? 5. Can God see tomorrow? If yes, did God know that man was going to fall? If he knows, why did he allow man to fall? 6. God hardened Pharaoh's heart against Israel, that was him taking out the will power from Pharoah to achieve his plan... Why didn't God take away the will power from man after the creation? 7. Why did God allow Satan to tempt man? |

Banbanna: Exactly 💯 Reincarnation provides for a whole lot of things. Many people die without fulfilling their earth missions and some have to come back to fulfil the requirements for their soul growth. 1 Like 1 Share |

In any case, although it seems based on falsehood there's some logic/wisdom in that scary doctrine of hellfire that they have used to keep the populace in line with established rules of proper human behaviour. Were it not for this consciousness, most people would have been living in a brutal state of nature. Btw, I'm neither a Christian or a Muslim. Rossikk: 1 Like |
