What u see happening to Air Peace is after effects of "unhealthy competition" in a market economy .

Na Air Peace use him hand bring the price reduction strategy in a bid to gain more market share at the launch of his new flying route; now this is the existing competitors responding with their own move.

I don't understand why Allen Onyeama is crying tho. Na u devise strategy , na u implement am, na au dey go from TV station to another analyzing the strategy to anyone that cares to listen ; now the strategy team of ur competitors have taken up the challenge to counter ur moves and u are shouting " evil conspiracy ".

I'm not a fan of pity party , Allen Onyeama either get used to the heat of the kitchen to cook better or get out of the kitchen completely ! Business is war!
or maybe, the social media outcry is still part of the pity game he has also devised in the ongoing war grin

so maybe the foreign airlines should hold their own media chats too to clear the air too

Reminds me of HITV's attempt to hijack EPL broadcasting rights from DSTV that year.

I think the whole thing lasted for one season after which DSTV ensured that the company went under

He just wants to milk the people's emotions ni ; but he's forgotten no amount of patriotism will make a Nigerian to patronize a Nigerian brand at a higher price compared to a foreign carrier's.

If he's not prepared to play the long game on this matter ; he can as well just admit the strategy is counter productive

The truth is that Price reduction strategy is the most effective when entering a new and competitive market

The problem is that Baba did not calculate the pockets of the foreign airlines and the edge his competitors had over him.

Baba say na "Some of them are charging $200" grin

Onyema no fit believe him eyes grin

Was it FG that helped Glo?

I remember they came up with sustainable plans that made them win customers over, i.e they started the per second billing method, after which other service providers followed suite..

Does Airpeace have a sustainable plan in place?

I just saw the video of Onyema complaining about the alleged "bad treatment" being dished out to Airpeace by FAAN.

Airpeace had better leave Social media propaganda and focus on strategic planning/sustainable implementation

.....any help he needs from FG to compete against foreign airlines shouldn't be delayed. If he needs more planes to lease, FG should help to fast track it.

.....I ain't sure FG supported Glo but they did support Dangote when he needed the help, even recently with the Refinery.

FAAN matters will be handled, Keyamo is handing over Airports maintenance and management to private body soon.

E shock am; e no fit believe him eyes say na the same strategy he bring dem don quickly weaponize against him and his business .

What people need to understand is that in any market where there's little or no government interference , business is WAR! And everybody will fight for him interests .

U see what Onyeama did with that sudden price reduction; he rattled the board of different companies . By that one move , he has made the cars of some directors hang in the balance , he has made the appraisal of some senior staff far less desirable and has set path to which those competitors will lose market share thereby reducing their income .

All those people needed to do was to identify his strategy as a potential threat to their means of livelihood and they quickly devised means to respond to him in like manner . I don't envy him right now

Airpeace is our own, it is our weapon against being milked by foreigners hence we should support it, FAAN can give it preference where it is can help, priority handling of it baggage on DL.

These airlines were charging exorbitant rates, even at the current rate they are still profitable - so for our own sake AirPeace must not fail.

AirPeace product As-Is is on par with Virgin/BA if not better than BA on that route for Nigerians.

If I was Onyeama I would liaised with Keyamo to force FAAN to help facilitate seamless onwards connection to Local Airports, that's one advantage that Virgin, BA & Other's can't compete.

Also it should stick with the local content, goat meat peppersoup on a flight is right now my number 1 selling point 😂😂😂

Other Airlines enjoy home advantages in their home country, ours would not be an exception.

Few weeks back, people were begging for these prices, now that it's here, no one wants to buy.

The silver lining is, it will soon get to a level where CBN can no longer afford a fall they don't have reserves to sustain.

It should start to rally again from there. Anyone holding long term has nothing to worry about.

For me, any dollar I buy, I plan to hold for 15 years while I sit back and allow compound interest do the magic.

It's not yet time to buy.
DCA only applies in the financial markets--stocks, crypto--where no one can time the bottom.
Here, it's different. Even if you live under a rock, you'll know when the CBN is fatigued.
