This government should wake up and stop deceiving the people with this dollar issue. In the market nothing has changed and everything that the common man consuming is still doubling in prices. So what’s the need.

Dollar is falling against naira but the prices of things in Nigeria keeps getting high. SMA gold that was 15-16k when dollar was 1800 is now 19k when dollar is 1k. The price of a rubber of garri is now 3500 as against 2k when dollar was 1800. What exactly is going on?

Dull people will say he’s defending with our reserves when he’s not even sold more than $45m to BDCs but they will fail to mention that he paid $7bn in FOREX backlogs

If Obi was president, the economy would be in turmoil as he would have retained Emefiele and not had the balls to arrest the President of Miyetti Allah or change the service chiefs

Oil theft would have doubled and insecurity would have increased in the NE

Stop deceiving us that naira is gaining value. CBN is just fixing what ever price they like after abandoning the floating policy. Which is a good thing, they should at least take it back to 350 to 1 usd.

Also for a good measure they should ban unnecessary imports through customs. Stop using form M to do the work that customs should do.

Some Nigerians are actually wicked more than the politicians

On a normal market, Naira gaining or winning about goods and services should at least take a month before taking effects. Because those business people always have stocks that can last at least 1 month with no exaggeration.

But in Nigeria, the same day the dollar rose is the same day they will increase their price without interested in bringing it down again even when dollar fall.

Average Nigerians are opportunists

True

Back then some of these retailers were always making calls to know if the dollar has increased.....If it increases they also increase the price of their goods..

what has exactly improved since your blood sucking mandate thieving master entered aso rock? At what price did he meet the dollar? He met the dollar at 700, pushed it to almost 2k, reduced it 1k, and brainless ones will think it's hard work, meanwhile rice, cement, petrol and its derivatives , all commodities are still going up, yet dollar is "coming down"..... It has nothing to do with petrol. Keep your ears down. Some of them in market has agreed not to sell below a certain price not to incur heavy losses as they imported when dollar was 1,800, some at 1,600 or less. It would take new imports at say 1,200 to really crash prices.

It's really a bad time for them and us, citizens of an import dependent nation.

There's still subsidy on petrol, so it's difficult to see a sharp effect on prices.
