The price of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, has recently dropped from N640 and N660 per litre, as seen a few weeks ago, to N620 per litre in certain locations across Lagos state. This decrease corresponds with a significant appreciation of the Naira. It's a welcomed development for consumers amidst economic challenges, showcasing the ongoing fluctuations in global oil markets and domestic currency values.

APC will be considered to have made fuel cheap in Nigeria if APC reduces the price below ₦150 per litre, just as Naira will be considered appreciated when it is less than 216 per dollar.

If fuel price becomes ₦200 or ₦150 per litre in Nigeria under APC, saying that APC has made fuel cheap will be wrong. I say this because fuel price was below ₦150 per litre in the year 2015 when APC said the price was too high.
