I remember when I joined Nairaland.com in 2014 it was a rich platform for idea sharing and proper constructive critism devoid of ethnic slurs.. I'm Igbo it was a Good Yourba friend of Mine that introduced me to the platform. Now I can read a news here or comment people like Yarimo, Freestuffs, Helinuse and co without having bad intentions towards people.
Time has come for the mods and Seun to detox this platform and bring back the Nairaland.com we once enjoyed.

The only way to detox this platform is to enable phone number verification and even a verified badge for people who completes a KYC verification process.
.
Then there should be an algorithm that ranks comments based on the choice of words and ratio of likes to dislikes.
When people know that getting a new account after a ban is impossible, they will behave. Also KYC will allow people to own up to their posts and be more responsible online.
.
Right now, one dick and harry will just post nonsense as a first comment and it automatically stays.
Likewise this is the era of AI, mods cannot effectively manage a huge forum like this. Employing advanced AI to remove and moderate trashy contents will even speed up the site and server storage space.
.
Mr. Seun should reach out to me and let me give him a good contract.

But you used to join them back then thinking it was a political party thing, little did you know it was a tribal thing, right?

Seun makes more money from this toxicity.

Nigéria has deteriorated over the years and bad leadership has brought out the demons in us. This is who we are now. You cannot change it. Nairaland is a true reflection of who we are.

As an Igbo man, if I don't hate Yoruba people, nothing can make me diss them, even if my identity is hidden.

Take this from me: The real YOU is what you do behind closed doors, not what you do in the open.

You will never see me on a tribal thread. The only people you see here attacking me are my tribesmen who want me to kowtow anywhere they park themselves and go. I refuse to be that an idio.t

Of course we won't see you there, when push comes to shove, you're still Igbo regardless of party affiliation. What I'm saying is that you inadvertently contributed to it. When you used to troll igbos who didn't support APC, you were probably doing it purely out of sincerity of purpose, being a loyal party man. But the people you were doing it with were doing theirs out of hatred.

I must have mentioned some few names but the ones from the obedient side is also crazy.. They don't learn from their PO to master how to ignore them. Rather they join and spill more venom into the platform.

The tribalism on this forum is between the Igbos and the Yorubas, the other tribe are less vocal on the internet, but you have no right to complain because you keep using the word "They" which is highly subjective, this makes you exactly what you are complaining about, I joined this forum in 2013 or so, I've been visiting since 2011, as far back as 2011 when Jonathan was president there was tribalism then, and it was champion by the Igbos, see below thread.

https://www.nairaland.com/745731/yoruba-marginalization-elders-met-jonathan

After Buhari took over in 2015 it escalated, who are the main victims? The Hausa/Fulani.

2023 election made everything worse, ever since then, it's been equal dose of tribalism from each side, but the main problem is that the Igbos cries the loudest about Victimisation when in reality both tribe are guilty of tribalism in this forum including you.

Yes right. 2014 was around that time Yoruba leaders were told by Jonathan supporters to Bleep off when they went to Jonathan as gentlemen to get something for their people from Jonathan government. They were told to go and meet Tinubu right on this forum. I will be surprised if you have been on nairaland since 2014 and you want to claim never to have seen that thread. In or outside Nairaland Yoruba will remain good people to others. It's you that everybody hates that needs to check yourselves. That you kept quiet for all the time that Fulani people and the north were being dragged for 8 years. That you will ignore the ebinpawa slur is hypocrisy. You try to tell your people that you are igbo and you need them to stop attacking everybody maybe they will not rain curses on your head.

I have read all that you have written... And I guess you never read the simple text I wrote. I'm not a politician and I don't see why you are quoting a political class that doesn't care about you. I'm talking about sanitizing this platform from hate in the comments people make here.

Stick to the Topic please... If you have something against an tribal group keep it in your heart and not in a public forum where people want to learn with facts.

To me, I prefer people having their right to say whatever they want even when I don't agree.
I am 100% in support of making this a free speech platform which it currently isn't.

Can you see that bigotry n foolishness as ruined you existence. You see all those you listed but you don't see all the Obidient lunatics with varying monickers creating senseless n foolish thread everyday about Yoruba Lagos SW n Tinubu.

Those monicker you mentioned how many thread have you seen any of them create ? The only reason why you Igbos are now wailing is because the Yoruba chose not be be docile like the Hausa Fulani You insulted n maligned all Tru the 8 years of Buhari.

But you are just starting, many of you will still wail blood be it in this platform Twitter Instagram or anywhere else each n everyone of you will live to regret the day you dare to malign Yoruba over the right to vote their choice. You have murdered sleep n will never live to sleep no more. Many of us will take sure of that.
