She agreed to bring 300 million. What is the complain for? She knew she can't meet up so she has taken the salary, she estorted the company or bank and I don't blame her too. But no one should complain as well that was sacked. 1 Like |

It's Ashawøo job she would do meet that target. Na this kind job some fine bank ladies in marketing do and they knack big men to deposit million in order to meet up the target. See pressure. I know of a school mate like that but after some years she was still sacked even after knacking big men to meet the bank target. Lol crazy world. 2 Likes |

Skyfornia: She should go and find another job nah! The people that gave her target and are paying her what they pay her do so because staff are 2 a penny. Staff are 2 a penny because most have useless degrees and are unemployable. The reality is that if she could have gotten a better job, she won’t be doing marketing g job where we all know what you are really selling is sex. If you are a graduate with a good degree from a good university you will not be on N350k 1 Like |

We rush into conclusions easily here. Have you asked your friend how long the grace period she was given and still couldn't meet her target? From my experience, no organization sacks you for breaching set agreements for just one month. I also think that, this N300m target is probably for a 6 months probationary period. And once that 6 months elapses, and you couldn't do anything, firing you is the ultimate gesture employers would happily give. I've also read here where some people made comments like.... "Oh in this difficult economy" "Oh, she will set up her own business and take all your customers away". Absolutely insensitive. First, a pepper and salt business won't set such targets. Targets are set based on realistic assumptions. It means that, if it's a bank, a real estate company, an investment house, that amount can be termed a mediocre target for 6 months. That's to say it's even too small. So, my thoughts, please ask your friend very well again. If she's going to tell you the truth, here are possibilities. 1. That budget is for a duration (3 or 6 months) 2. She's not done even 25% of the budget since resumption 3. The management has been paying her salaries without deducting for non-performance for those periods under review 4. She would have been invited by her supervisor or even a higher authority to discuss way forward 5. She's not resilient enough.... Resilience alone can keep you on your job even if you don't meet up with targets. It shows and your management will see it. 6. She lacks focus That's my take and I'm speaking from experience 2 Likes |

casualobserver: I disagree with you. Even if she has a good result from school, she might struggle to get a job. There are graduates out there with good results that are doing shitty jobs of 150k salary per month. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sound like what Airtel will do. They are always sacking their sales managers. They have a yearly meeting called nicknamed “tsunami”. Once you don’t meet their unrealistic target just know you would be sacked. |

Tunagee:The bolded makes no sense. Go and read about goodwill in business/accounting parlance. It refers to the intangible asset of brand reputation, integrity and customer loyalty of a company. That is what an investor or depositor looks at before putting his money in say Zenith Bank, GTB etc. Which of these does Bimbo Owoyemi the marketer have to command a deposit of N300m? Max they pay 80k, chop the yansh and clean mouth. |

anthropizzy: From What Universities? I don’t think you understand that as a graduate from a Nigerian university you are automatically at the back of the queue. Especially a government university. We employers do not rate your degrees because we have seen the products from Nigerian universities. They are generally not up to the task. 1 Like |
