1,100/ltr in maiduguri. Matrix oil sold @ 730/ltr within the week but the queue was crazy. A few NNPC stations too sold @ about 680/ltr but you would be ready to fight to get. Road side hawkers, 1,200/ltr with peace of mind. 2 Likes |

This is exactly my point, a serious government would have jailed 50 filling station owners, revoke license from 10 marketers. and if you get opportunity to sell but refuse to sell, jail that person too. But Tinubu won't do anything o. Namaster: 1 Like |

Globe Ilesha 900/litre. They sold for kegs alone. Very complete measurement though. Most nnpc can't dare sell into jerry cans.... 3 Likes |

Namaster: There is every reason for them to sell at that price...and no I am not supporting tinubu, I never voted for APC, but...one lesson I learned in 2012 was that it pays an economy to sell at the market price of petrol Right now, it costs nearly 600bn naira monthly...some say N1 trillion to keep fuel at N580-700. If you wanted fuel to be cheap, like say N100 per liter, it may be good for you, but it would also cost nearly half our budget to pay for the resulting subsidy, if not more. That leaves a large hoie in our budget called a deficit. That means we have to fill that hole...and it means more loans. As much as i hate to support government policies, if we had removed subsidy in 2012, by now we would have had more refineries coming up apart from Dangote. See, GEJ tried to remove subsidy because subsidy costs in 2011 were triple those in 2010. But back then, you would have opposed him, like Buhari and tinubu did. SO GEJ listened and stopped subsidy removal. The result...by 2022 August....2022....90% of our earnings was going to service the debts...part of which was caused by subsidy. See why we have to totally deregulate. YES It means we spenf N1400 for a liter of fuel, and YES It means I am a rich and insesnsitve berk and a joker. YES, it means you can abuse me and call me agabado...even though I was supporting subsidy removal when tinubu and buhari were opposing it, and in essence putting us in the situation we are in now. Karma is a biatch. But no, we all want cheap fuel. Keep in mind that one liter of fuel is above N1000 fresh from the refinery...before transport costs and all that come in. And a large part of our earnings is still going to service debt. And our economy is not diversified, and our tax to gdp is still lower than Niger republic. And we sill have a serious corruption problem (as seen in the preparing of this budget). Ye can abuse me, but think on these things. 1 Like |

Saao: You want tinubu to spend over half our budget on subsidising fuel to below N200 , and get us into severe debt as a result...so that he can win election? Right. 1 Like |
