Don't go where you are not wanted. The worst thing a person can do is to force themselves on others or their families, it's never worth it.

The boy definitely comes from wealth but old money doesn't accept everybody, especially those who've been around town. Old money only accepts old money.

They're aware of his intentions to marry the lady, they just weren't in support. Old money or new money, they need to realise that there's a level of control they can exert on an adult, a male for that matter. This action taken by them could make the son further distance himself away from them. Look at how things went with Psquare's family. Their rejection of the Lola led to estrangement between Peter and his siblings till date. The British Royal family is another example.

And the death of the Psquare brand. Was it worth it?

There are a respectable family and they need to maintain that for their survival.

I truly agree with Seun Kuti when he said, people who have 100-500m and think they are rich, have more in common with a poor man than Dangote. you have never been in that circle. Things are not run anyhow especially when the head of the family who calls the shot is still alive.

There are concerns about this relationship and also the traditional.. it seems the man is being manipulated but he also might not be but it seems from major indicators.

She's older by 8 years but I have no problems with this if things are done right.

she pregnant for him which is not the normal steps for a union and knowing the family doesn't approve u still went to get pregnant?

went to arrange a traditional marriage without the man's family present or in support?

This are signs of desperation to manipulate or have her way somewhat by force.

Legal battle for property wey no be him own? Except his money was involved in any of the family's assets, then he has a case. But if no money of his, he has no case. While it is normal and appropriate to bequeath your assets to your children, it is not mandatory. The patriarch can decide to do as he wants - he is the custodian.

Yes. It is a valid reason for them to do away with him. Parents remove certain children's names from the Family's Will for lesser reasons such as not approving their marriages.
