Please I need help.

I am writing my SOP, I finished my undergraduate studies in 2012, did a masters degree in Electrical engineering and finished in 2021. I got admission for a masters degree that aligns with my professional experience. Is there needbto include in my SOP my first masters degree explaining that I am going for this masters degree because it aligns with my professional experience. Not including the first master degree would show a study gap of 12yrs. I have been working for over 10yrs and the course I am going for is inline with what I presently do

Pls what will you advice in this case?

You may not include your masters you had since you have work experience, use your 10 years work experience instead. Since you're have been working for 10 years in your field of study, then explain that you want to do your masters to upgrade your skill set.

Good morning all.
Please I need guide on this.
My medical date is 13/05 and I intend to submit my application this Thursday, 9/05.
What can I upload on the medical section. I intend doing my biometric next week too as I am far from Lagos.

Okeyboy90:

Did you do upfront medicals? Did you get a prompt in your portal to do medicals before doing so?
I submitted my application on April 19th and went ahead to do upfront medicals on April 22nd. I am yet to get any IRCC prompt to do medicals in my portal and that's why I am worried if I need to raise a webform with the print out form from the Qlife medicals. No result or correspondence yet from Qlife; today is the 8th business day

Hello Okeyboy90,

Relax your mind. It takes a while these days for IRCC to update medical reports in real-time. Sometimes, even biometrics. Give it time for it to reflect in your online account.

Hello gurus in the house.
I need an urgent help. I applied for GCMS Notes on the 21st of February and I am yet to get a reply as at today. 21st of May will make it 3 months instead of the usual 20 - 30 days

I beg make una reply me ooO!

Hello EdoPresido,

It could happen so. Some notes processed by IRCC or CBSA could take forever to be released. Few are not released despite being duly requested. You should consider requesting the GCMS notes again if you have the budget. You can use GCMSWriters (IG/X) for the notes or use this link to request it on their website: https://gcmswriters.com/gcms-notes/

Hello Clemosa,

Many applicants with similar academic profiles as you have been caught in the same web of dilemma. Depending on your storyline or how you decide to present your educational background, you have the choice to mute your first 'second' degree and fill the gap with relevant work experience or extracurricular activities, or coin a convincing explanation for what shaped your decision for a second Master's.

Opting for a second Master's would not necessarily turn into a red flag and the reasons for the decision could be:

• contemporary evolvement to augment the previous;

• Ph.D. is a tangent academic path to your career advancement;

• focusing on a specific area of professional academic learning;

• supplementing the previous Master's teachings with the essentiality of the proposed study i.e. if the first was research-based, present your study drive in wanting to harvest the academic exposure of course-based teachings this time around;

• give comparisons to the classroom dimensions of the previous and new, cite instances, if necessary;

• demonstrate a level of connection between both studies to your work experience, and the limitation of the first and where/how the second would strengthen the initial grounding. If you are unsure of how to go about the SOP writing or need help proofreading/vetting the letter, chat with GCMSWriters on IG/X for proper assistance.

Hello Wonder1844,

You can adjust your questionnaire answer to the upfront medical as "no" to remove the column or upload the IMM 1017B form in place of the report. After the upfront medical is done, the report can then be sent through the webform.

Hello FreshStarz,

You can begin the process with it to avoid delay. After submitting the admission application, if an updated copy is required, it will be requested with leniency.

Hello gurus,
Pls help me 🙏🙏🙏.
My sibling has been admitted to Seneca college for may. The school has resumed and her visa request letter just came in. She's thinking of differing to fall to enable her prepare or even get another school.
Will Seneca refund her school fees if she successfully get admission into another school in fall? Or she'll have to forfeit the schools fees paid?
Also, does anyone know schools outside of Ontario giving admission to students who already have valid student visa. She's thinking of moving to another province that's less expensive.
Pls help

CHANGE IN DLI (SCHOOL) outside Canada would mean applying for a new study visa. Better to work with Seneca for a new resumption date. You can change DLI only after arriving in Canada and resuming at Seneca.

Hello everyone

Please I need some insight. My brother has been waiting for a response from IRCC for about 6 months, but it’s been radio silence. He applied and did upfront medicals/biometrics since last November, and after the confirmation, there hasn’t been any word from them. I keep hearing that there is huge backlog, but the delay it’s starting to give me concern. He even had to defer his admission. Is anybody else in this boat or is there some action we could take? Thank you.

Sometimes, you receive the email immediately. Other times you receive the email between 24hrs - 72hrs.

Thank you for your response. Do you mean to just call the embassy in Nigeria or is there a special number for these queries?

I've been trying to create a new account, and for some reason, whenever I enter a password, the VFS website changes it to a completely different invalid password. It's been quite frustrating
