You won't qualify without taking at least one language test.

As with everything in life the express entry is getting more competitive. Like 15yrs ago anyone who scored 7 in IELTS go dey dance, Now if you score below 8 just go rewrite, Human beings not just Nigerians, Indians Asians have turned this to a full time hustle and are finding routes to beat the system and get higher scores, Before MSc was almost sure for you right now number of MsC in Nigeria alone has quadrupled in the last 10yrs

if they do 2 back to back draws, the score might drop by 5, but if they wait for over 2months to do a draw, many people will enter the pool and its almost guaranteed that it will spike

All those undesired provinces self now people don open eye to them Saskatchewan Yukon don be like California for people eyes nowadays,

This reminds me of one of my IELTS students who needed at least 8.0 out of 9.0 in the listening module/section of the IELTS.

It's very good for study route. You get 2yrs post study visa after your schooling and you can be eligible for PR in 5yrs including the 2 schooling years.

Their school fees are also cheap compared to others. I've seen school fees of 2500 Euros, 1750 Euros, the highest I've seen is 7k Euros for international student. There's even a school that accept installment payment (10 times/10 months).

You can also stay and visa anywhere in the EU area without registration for 90 days. (I stand to be corrected though).

We have always looked back to the previous 5-10yrs and long for those times. The problems of 1980s 1990s are still there and new ones are piling on top

You will see newspaper of 1985 where fuel queues dey, I witnessed fuel queues in he 90s and 2000s Today we are still facing same. Same story with NEPA, Same story with ASUU etc

I was looking at it from another perspective. Your salary as a fresh graduate at the time was enough to live a decent life and obviously fund your japa. People work for 4-5 years in blue-chip companies and were buying brand new cars. Most people look back at that period and say they were better days.

I'm just imagining a future where the horror people are going through today turn out to be good old days cheesy

Most European countries bar UK offers cheaper schooling and you can move with dependents.

What do think about Malta?

Is it a place worth it? Like if my spouse wants to school and I go as dependant; are there jobs there?

My fear is that I don't want to resign a decent paying job here, going with my spouse as dependent only to resort to jamajama job over there with no prospect of getting a better job. That's my fear with those European countries

If you have 5 to 10 years work experience, a bachelor degree and can get full score in IELTS…. Canada express entry sure pass.
Nigerians are still relocating with that route.
This is why a lot of Nigerians are paying close to 2m to get 8.5 or 8.0 on the IELTS.

But if the govt wants everyone to go cashless as the CBN has been trying to do since, isn't it counterproductive to want to tax transfer? We already pay transfer fee, why should we be paying tax on transfer also?

Even that cybersecurity levy, there should be a minimum and maximum threshold. Imagine a business doing a transfer of millions, if the business do 2 10m transfer in a days, that's 100k on levy alone. It's an absurdity.

So vat is a tax on goods and services. A large number of people provide services and are paid through their personal accounts and therefore not taxed. Your mechanic, your tailor, the person selling you fruit or groundnut. Also people selling things like cars.

The banks know these are business transactions. And the govt knows it too. Sooner or later they will find a way to identify or tax these transactions.

After the reckless statement Fubara made yesterday, I'm not surprised.

I'm just glad he's now coming out of his shell and not claiming to be a saint and the victim.

Meanwhile, I saw his list of achievements to celebrate one year in office and it looked like it came from a governor in Adamawa.

The Wike he's fighting with is doing well with less resources in Abuja.

It's the long time the express entry always takes that just tires me out. I see people saying it took them years on the queue noni.

Can share with me a link to a thread I can read on how to stack up points and all?

This one that all countries are even making the student route with spouse difficult sef just tire me; would've gone through that route sef

Express entry doesn't take years oo.
If you have enough points, you can move ASAP.

You need alot of work experience, post graduate degrees like MSC will help alot.
Also being 30 or younger.

Then if you can get PNP to gain 600 points, it will be an automatic winner.
Another thing is your career has to be one that is desirable. Someone with HR experience will find it hard, but someone who has experience in Tech which is a high demand job

What about language barrier ? Will one not have to learn Portuguese to study and work in Portugal ?

Or is English the language of instruction there ?

One thing that discourages me about all these immigration journey is how people already knowledgeable in the processes always abbreviate words/form acronyms u have to start racking ur brain for the full meaning 🤦

According to my own research, like 70% of the population speak English.

The biggest challenge is getting a school that teach your desired course in English. Like 70% are in Portugese.

Like the school that accept installment payment of fees, their only course that's taught in English is "Hotel management". Every other course is taught in Portugese.

Thanks, I'm trying to calculate the points now. What are the ideal IELTS scores acceptable to them?
For Canada, you need a minimum of 6.5 across all 4 units in IELTS.

But the funny thing is it you have a very good command of French, you can enter the French based EE. The points are usually very low 400+.

The thing is there are different pathways especially with skilled employment.
So the cut off is different also depending on the one canada picks

Provincial nominee program.
It's basically getting a province in Canada to request for you to come over.
You have to apply for it.
