You think every body is interested in feminist bullsht?

I'm igbo and Christian, but kudos to the imams.

Is it the prostitution we see on Nigerian streets that is a better option than giving girls a home?

A government that has no bearing, confused , and incapable.

Nonsense..

Listen imams do whatever you want with that lady called uju, nobody sent her on such a useless errand.

Your support means nothing. Enough of these marrying off women against their will.

You all will be online making noise and accusing the north of lagging behind in development but when you see policies being put in place for development to start, you start kicking against it.

There must be a system to prove these children are not being married out against their will. That is the point.

Madam Uju is doing the right thing - let the worst happen. She is a federal minister. This Muslim North has become a huge burden to this country and must be stopped. Imagine forcing little girls to marry men they don't have feelings for. Tomorrow, you will hear that they have stabbed their husbands to death...like we always read in the news.

Apart from that, how can you sponsor marriages for men who cannot afford it? Tomorrow, they will give birth to children they cannot take care of. Those children will be all over the streets begging for alms and embarrassing this country.

I don't know when Nigeria will grow some balls and tell these Northerners to stop giving birth to children they cannot afford to fend for. How can a people see street begging as a normal lifestyle? When El-Rufai was governor, beggars had an association and they even threatened to kick him out of power, saying that their votes made him governor! How do these people think?!

So marriage is backwardness but university and secondary school girls prostitution is progressive?

The honorable minister has her priorities misplaced.
Secondly , marriage is a good thing.

Better than olosho of most modern girls.

1. Let the girls come on media and express their desires to get married without coercion.

2. Let an independent NGO ascertain the ages of these girls.

3. Let the MoWA conduct an investigation on the men who intend to marry these girls. Who are they? What is their source of income? What do they do for a living?

4. Let every sane person ask questions, why do they need a mass and sponsored wedding? If a potential groom cannot afford to sponsor his own wedding, then he has no business getting married. This is how they keep giving birth to children they cannot afford to cater for.

5. @OP, you are very foolish. Incase, you missed it the first time, I said you are VERY VERY FOOLISH.

6. Your opening statement "female minister" has already exposed who and what you are. Keeping deceiving yourself. Igbo Christian my foot!

I am not sure how best to quantify your stupidity. She made a statement as minister why don't you discredit her position with facts rather than bringing in ethnicity and religion into it?

What does you being Igbo and Christian has to do with your position unless you are telling us that everything you do is colored based on your religious and ethnic background.

If you have a valid point why her position is wrong please do state it otherwise you can take your bigotry somewhere else.
Re: Who Sent Uju Kennedy Ohanenye by kokoA(m): 8:22am On May 17
The minister was hyperactive. The first thing she would have done is to find out if the girls are above 18 years, if that is confirmed then the ministry should become an intermediary sort of between the girls and their suitors, if love exist between both parties then she has no right to stop their marriage. These girls are orphans, the government WILL NOT take care of them so if they wish to marry to find a good life what's your concern?

I am glad you took the fool to the cleaner. I really wonder how he manages to cross the road. The sad part is that the op will have kids and be responsible for raising them. Imagine his mindset and the garbage he will imprint on those innocent children. We will never run short on stupid people on this planet.
