Nigerians sef.we too do.you see tons of universities for Nigeria, you no go.ok agreed that public universities are a mess.what of private universities.

Whatever is making you go through the hurdles of studying and funding yourself in a university abroad then it means that you can actually afford to go to a private university in Nigeria which meets international standards.because come to think of it.after spending thousands of dollars abroad,do you think oyinbo will give you Job when there's massive unemployment in UK.even if they give you Job abroad,na tax them go use finish you.plus they'll be deducting the loans they gave you till e complete.

Again if you come back to Nigeria,do you think that you will be given a higher pedestal in the labor Market because you came with a u.k certificate?

What shall it profit you to spend millions of naira on foreign education and come back to Nigeria and come dey drag 70k salary with other graduates that finished from nigeria.apart from that you're even contributing to the economy by schooling in nigeria.abeg make we dey think of the long term consequences of schooling abroad before we jump into this foreign education bandwagon

Besides if you calculate all the money you spent on foreign education and you used it to set up a buisness with the right security structure in place, within the next 4 years (equivalent to the years of schooling) you
willl be financially stable.this is not to say I'm downgrading the place of education.no.far from it, I'm saying it's economically unwise to school abroad because when you come back to Nigeria, you will come and join the que (if you understand what I mean)

They should include the duration of time the school gave them to offset their outstanding fees in their plaquecards. The school admitted them because they provided evidence that they can pay their fees, where is all that money? Sorry, you can't keep owing school fees and expect for your admission not to be terminated eventually. Once your admission is terminated, you have no business left in the country. Japa via the study route is the worst economic decision anybody that's not upper class can make.
the proof was in naira. the value has depreciated. value of N20 Million in British pounds is not same as it is today

Fools

Deport their sorry ass.

It's not like as if that degree they're studying will get them any job oo. They'd still end up as people wey dey wash smelly nyansh of old sick white people. That's how bad these idiots degrade their value. The one you studied in Nigeria is not enough. You sell property, borrow from people just to use academics as a means to enter UK and then it's caregiving that you'll be doing after all the money spent.

Deport them since their God's given brain is only meant to be devalued by people who doesn't respect them.

for most of these guys, education was never the goal, just a means to and end.
What end? See to be frank with you, spending over £30000 for education, minus other expenses in pounds, after the education and you begin to hustle, more than 75% of the people won't be able to gather up to £40000 when finally coming back to Nigeria...
So that begs the question, "To what end"?

Thank you for explaining. I was of the idea that they had to show proof for just the first academic year. Thank you. I feel really dvmb now😂

Not that I support them anyway....

technically.... the situation is, when u travel for studies...u show proof u have all the money u need at the embassy which includes ur tuition and upkeep money.....

.......but because the money is in naira and in a nigerian account at the time they showed it as proof and still in naira when they need it in UK ...the dangerous change in exchange caused the money in their accounts to devalue....

Make no mistake...working to pay tuition and up keep doesn't cut it..because the UK authorities only gives student 20hrs a week to work.....that cannot pay tuition let alone bills and other survival expense...

Still...their protest is complete nonsense and uncalled for....a smokescreen actually

Any small thing ..una don start protest .....will the University not collect their money becos of ur clueless government's policies??

UK will soon start block account like Germany or tell students to starts presenting dollar or pounds account as proof of funds.... Na that time una eyes go clear...

I wonder, people who cannot protest agaisnt their own government in Naigeria who caused their problems rather they are protesting against the University wanting to get paid. Are they expecting the Uni. to not collect their fees?

As you said, they Uni will still collect their fees, besides, the Uni has nothing to do with the Home office or Immigration, i bet these so called students didn't read their terms and conditions (small prints) with the Uni. before the signed.

All these ones claimed to be Uni. Students?
What these people don't realise is that once your money is finished, ran out or the UK cannot sqeeze anymore money outta you, they don't need you anymore. So they can protest all they like it wouldn't change anything.

This protest is like after eating in a restuarant you start protesting that you cannot pay for the food because there are no money in your bank account. grin

A very fvcked up country. I would’ve been a victim if not that I quickly liquidated my naira account and converted everything to USDT when this useless administration came onboard. Suggested to some of my friends then to do the same but they were adamant, waiting for the useless CBN tradersystem until naira collapsed. Some of them are already back in naija as they couldn’t pay and some are still here roaming around.

No mind them...they want to study for free...Is it by force to study in the UK or what concerns the institution with Nigeria's failed monetary policies. The school is in business, simple and must declare profit that is how they survive.Come back home if you cannot pay.
