Covenant is rated higher than it. Even UI and maybe Unilag. Teesside is scrappy university in the UK. When universities in the UK are mentioned, Russell Group of universities are the most important.

If it is truly for education, some people can still argue in defence of the spending. But we all know that it is basically for an opportunity to japa for economic empowerment. So, if that's the case, why couldn't they use that money to set up business in Nigeria? 30 million naira business in Nigeria would give you at least 2 million naira profit monthly.

Your thinking pattern is classical example of the problem we are addressing. Why would you base your decision on what people are saying? Why not engage in a more objective and constructive research.Go online to fact check about the economy of the country,The employment state, understand the in demand skill and ask yourself if you have it to exchange it for value.

This lazy mentality of acquiring information is the same bane of Africa's development in Africa.Leaders make decisions based on rumours and unverified third party information rather than established data( statistics).

There are Nigerians doing extremely well there and you careless to know what their opinion is? Is it every Nigerian abroad that's complaining? If No what are those few doing that makes them exceptional abi your Nigerian mind will say they bribed their way to the good life..... hahahaha.

We need fumigate your brain with better reasoning powder because like play like play them fit make you minister in Niger na with this mentality naira go be 7k to a dollar because you don't know how to effectively engage your mind to source fact and translate it to actionable insight.

So they can’t work under the table and earn money to support their schoolfees?

Easier said than done.

As a student on student visa your max work time per week is 20 hours. They won’t pay rent, they won’t eat, they won’t use transport or pay for internet, light and water bills. With the meagre weekly pay

Highest you’ll earn is 12£ per hour that’s 240£ a week and £960 a month. In Nigeria it seems big but there that money is peanuts that bills will chop all

"they provided proof of funds at a lower rate". pls explain it further or clearly.
Good afternoon.

Someone that provided proof of funds when pounds was 1600 and now that pounds is at 1900 won't be able to meet up with the proposed fees.

Some of you like to talk trash...

If you have 30 million naira now, go and waste it on purchasing student visa and still get trapped midway. You will receive common sense by that time.

Are you a business man?

Yes, I'm. Go and check my recent contributions on topics here, you will confirm it without stress.

Go and ask businesses in this current administration how they are coping, many have shut down even bigger companies are shutting down....

Yes, Tinubu policies are affecting many businesses including mine. But at this period of our time, I don't pray to be a salary earner or as a sole source of my income. Between Monday and yesterday alone, even with the unstable economic atmosphere, I spent 190k unexpectedly. My business is standing and many businesses are standing.

una go dey type this kind things...
Taxes everywhere from FG and touts...
Are you not in nigeria?
Would you rather spend 30 million naira pursuing education abroad because of the need to japa (but deceiving yourself that it is because businesses are failing) or use it to start a business?
If you have money and lack business ideas, let me know, I will give you simple business ideas right here. You won't even stress before you will be counting your profits daily. But I don't think you are the type that can venture into business with this your defeatist mindset

UK study visa is a point based which means if everything is in place your study visa is 99.9% unlike other countries…

But it so unfortunate that Nigerians and some African countries citizens are about to destroy that privilege and opportunity..
in what way? Can you elaborate?

Good evening bro. I deliberate quoted you maybe you can share me more insight on what business I can start in this economy cos you mentioned something like that in this statement which interested in fact it has been something I have thinking of doing lately with a little capital.

I will appreciate your effort if you can show me what I can equally invest little capital on cos I don't like a salary work. Thanks

See as u de bark like dog weh carry rabbies

We no de fight... Abi UK get better economy? Every indices and indicator look promising.

Now u said when I get there I will work and pay school fees when we on ground said its highly not possible without dependant

Now see the result... School withdraw their sponsorship.

When u fail to listen to those on ground, even to travel to visit those countries and see things ur self u didn't but decide to look for data with no practical experience. Then u are bound to error

Most of these people didnt even have the money they showed as proof. The economy of Nigerians didn't affect them in anyway. They had less £200 home and abroad when they entered Youkay with the hope of working to meet up. But things went South and they had to blame Nigeria as always

I did my masters and PhD in chemistry at University of Leeds and I paid about £100,000 and still unemployed currently in Nigeria.

I think people that don't have their dependent travel with them could have slight issues. But even at that, if what you brought from home could pay your first year schoolfees, they should be able to hustle out the next school fees on their own.

Maybe I dey use USA sense in my judgement but I also have a brother for UK who was able to continue sponsoring himself through jobs there as a student.
How long did it take him to get a job after arriving?

He got a job quite earlier coz it seems one of his friend know someone that know someone.

Then after 6month, he brought his wife from Naija as his dependent and now she’s doing the full job while he do the other restricted hours job.

Oh he's lucky. It's really crazy right now in Canada.
The few people lucky are people who already paid one full year fee and just have a year left.
Got a friend who almost got expelled because he couldn't pay his 2nd semester (first year) fee.
Getting a job here is very difficult right now.
