You guys love peddling that lie. But unfortunately, this is internet age. Anyone can Google and see that it was Gowon that used Decree 14 to abolish all 4 Region's Nigeria had, and replace them with 12 states.

If anyone tells you that Ironsi abolished Region's or introduced unitary rule, know that's its a big lie. It's not possible to have unitary rule where there is resource control, and it's not possible to abolish Region's without replacing it with something else. Ironsi never touched resource control, and the 4 Region's he met when he came in were still there the day he was killed. What Ironsi introduced was Military rule. The person who abolished the 4 Region's, and created 12 new states to replace them, was Gowon, with Decree 14. Gowon then introduced full blown unitary rule with Decree 15 that ended resource control. Below are Decree 14 and 15

First of all Awolowo and Zik wanted to enter an alliance, but the British refused because during the 1959 elections, the results though the NPC of the north had more seats they didn't have the popular votes rather it was NCNC that had the popular votes followed by AG. Based on this the result was a hung parliament, which meant that any two parties who can form a coalition can get majority seat. Sardauna Ahmadu Bello fearing a southern domination stated that if only the southern parties enter a coalition, the north will not enter into independence, the British now decided that it has to be NPC with any party in the south. it was ironic that Awolowo and Zik were at a meeting in Asaba, when Ahmadu Bello called Zik and indicated that Akintola was in Kaduna to meet with him on a possible coalition.
That angered Zik and he felt betrayed by Awolowo and as such he entered the coalition. so brother stop that lie that Awo heard via radio that Zik and Sardauna entered coalition.

Concerning Adaka Boro's Niger delta rebellion, it was not Ojukwu that crushed it because Ironsi was alive when that rebellion happened it was the 3rd Division Enugu who dispatched Major John Obienu who captured Adaka Boro at Ahoada in Port Harcourt. Once again stop spreading lies, Ojukwu didn't crush Adaka Boro's rebellion despite that he was the Governor of Eastern region, it was Ironsi that ordered the 3rd Batallion Enugu under Major John Obienu to capture Boro.

So stop the lies, if igbos rallied under PDP they are not slaves to them anyone can decide where he wants to go it is not by force to align with APC. Even at that aren't igbos not proved right that APC was a disaster?
