Anambra and imo state are that rich, yet with poor infrastructural development. The igbo's should focus on their state, and hold their respective government accountable and stop all these lagos castigation.

No single name of the northern states.
Not too surprised! This happened because all northerners abandoned agriculture for oil

Another ethnicist teenager.

FYI, I am not Ibo.
I am as Lagosian as Lagosian can be.

And when I say its not a SW thing, that is obvious. The size of Lagos' economy does not spring from the peculiar or exceptional work of any one tribe or region. Its a function of the role of Lagos as the economic capital of Nigerai and its former capital.

Ondo has a higher GDP than Oyo, Ogun? Than Kaduna, Kano?

Did someone just pluck numbers from the air to compile this list?

Yes, Cocoa price has shot up several folds in recent years, but I don't think that can put Ondo ahead of those 4 states.

Also, when I travel to or through Ondo, there is no sign of this high GDP you people are talking about.
The rating makes me confused.
I don't even know the criteria they use before arriving at that conclusion.

Here we are. The figures are speaking for themselves. So Ogun GDP is no more than the SE combined as alleged? GDP is the real assessment index of economic development of a state or nation and not the IGR the taxman of Lagos is inflicting on the nation. Even the current Lagos own @ present is based on the fact that it is a fallout of it being a former capital territory of Nigeria.
IGR of Ogun is bigger than all the SE states combined. There is a difference between IGR and GDP.

You don't have to be ibo to have anti-yoruba hatred.

Lagos is the economic capital of Yoruba people.. that you cannot accept that truth shows you have hatred for Yoruba people so lagosfc is correct.

Both of you are ignorant and proudly displaying your ignorance online, you should be worried only one State from the northern region made the list, a region that have ruled Nigeria more than any other region combined.

You will leave serious issues and be talking about irrelevant issues reason they have mortgage your future and that of your children while you cheer them unknowingly.

No wonder we don’t hear “Ogun is richer than South Africa and Singapore put together” these days from our Yoruba Muslim brothers
They think having biscuit factories littered around Ogun state translates to being rich, when most of the drugs they take are Produced in Onitsha and Environ

Ndigbo should learn to tell their own story, because if you allow Yoruba tell your story,it will be filled with propaganda and we all know the second name for Yoruba Muslims is propaganda

The biggest economy in Southeast is Anambra state

BANK CREDIT AND DEPOSIT BY STATES IN NIGERIA

Bank credit/deposit in each state may be used as an indicator of the level of activity and well being of operators (households and businesses) in a particular state as it shows what residents are borrowing and the amount deposit in banks

Governors in Akwa ibom only build roads, stadiums and worship centers.
Human capital development is zero, unemployment is very high.

Two things wey Akwa Ibom need; light and sea port. Then every other thing shall be added unto it.

Don't let economics from textbooks and world slavery bank deceive you... IGR is the real measure of economic indices.

If you own a company and that company is valued at N200B and that company makes N9B yearly after taxes... It is the N9b you will use to pay employees and run the company the following year not the N200B value of your company..
