I was still a young child in this era. Still, I remember when we see the egrets fly, we would sing "chekeleke give me white" to get white markings on our fingers. I recall, rolling old tires down the street, playing "suwe" or flying kites. You could be poor, but still afford good food to eat. How time flies, those days when friends will help me with all my house chores so that I can allow them into our house to view Papa Ajasco on our hunchback black and white TV.
