Well, Ademola did the same thing in Osun state to teachers, workers and OYES employed by his predecessor. Till today, he hasn't recruited a single soul. Going to two years now.

The whole idea was for the recruited people to massively vote for Fubara as that was the only way their jobs could be retained. I personally voted Fubara for this reason. I close relative of mine benefitted from the recruitment. Fubara was aware that Wike took this decision to his benefits. Fubara won the election courtesy of this strategy. Before Fubara won these people had worked for over 4 to 5 months with promise that they would be paid once things got settled. While these people were merrying that Fubara had won Fubara first action in office was to sack them all.
He sacked them with no pay or compensation. These people underwent all the required process of civil service recruitment including issuing of Government ID Cards.
Some of them resigned their previous jobs.

That does not mean we should support a wasteful and unproductive cause at the expense of state resources.

Many of Fubara supporters here would naturally assume that those 10k workers are Wike's followers, family members and relatives.
Most of those guys would be PDP members and they wouldn't be happy with their decision to vote Fubara into power right now

Wike used them to get Fubara in....Fubara has no need of them anymore and they deserve the sack as they were not recruited on merit but based on political patronage....they have been used and dumped, I feel no pity for them.

If I am giving zamfara and rivers states to chose from, I will take zamfara without blinking. At least I know that those people are primitive and illiterates.
