Ridiculous, there's no substitute for tomatoes. I love Tinubu for fulfilling some of his campaign promises and honestly I think he's doing very well. He said GARRI, BEANS and DODO. He's started with garri, beans will follow, then dodo. Be patient, for tomatoes to have gone into extinction, that's other unpublicized promises fulfilled ahead of time 158 Likes 11 Shares |

What a shame. Never new Nigeria will sink to this low level that one can't afford ordinary tomatoes and pepper. All thanks to APC and a disaster called tinubu. 86 Likes 5 Shares |

There are many Nigerian stews that don't need tomatoes. What's the fuss? I can't remember the last time I used fresh tomatoes in my cooking. Even for stew and jellof, you don’t need it. Tomatoes are bland. 3 Likes 1 Share |

All you posted are not alternative for tomatoes for the following reasons; 1. The taste of tomatoes in soup or stew can't be compared. Forget about colour, it is the taste that is the Koko. 2. Tomatoes is cheaper even with the present price. You need to go to market for pricing. Other options you mentioned are not common in the market, that make them costly compare to tomato that is aplenty. 10 Likes |
