Shettima na Nama .

He obviously didnā€™t know that if the country is restructured , governors wonā€™t have anywhere to hide . All the respective governors who get allocation but have nothing to show for it will be held by the jugular by their citizens .

A state like bayelsa will no longer claim that FG is sharing money made from bayelsa oil to Borno. The bayelsa governor will have to show workings how heā€™s spent the money he received as allocation.

Even the northern governors that get billions upon billions as allocations that fail to transform the life of their citizens only to get angry when a southerner says ā€œ the north is poor ā€œā€¦./ such governors will have nowhere to hide .

Alas all of this is lost on shetimma grin . He say restructure my foot .

Only a neewbie who doesn't know how the Lagos-Ibadan express media operate will fall for their propaganda. They have their targeted audience as regard this topic. Definitely, not we from the South are part of the audience.

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

You think you're deceiving me
Steve Orosonya's report recommended scrapping the current National Assembly, so that report will not scale through cos the Legislootor will never pass any amendment that would lead to scrapping their current office.
I would welcome a parliamentary system where we have a President as Head of State and a Prime Minister as Head of Government. The President will concerning him/herself with foreign affairs and also be given power to appoint the Prime Minister, while the Prime Minister along with his cabinet run the Country. Where the Prime Minister is not living up to his responsibilities, the President can remove him/her and appoint a replacement with the approval of the House of Reps. The senate will be scrapped and only the House of Reps will remain headed by a Speaker, State Governors will remain but with lesser constitutional power and no immunity. Sadly this won't be possible under the current democratic setting, i believe only a Military regime can fully implement both the Confab and Orosonya's report.
See Northerners already kicking against any restructuring that would bring about resource control, and they are the majority in the National Assembly.
I think this is another form of distraction by this Govt, cos a basket of Tomato is now selling for ā‚¦150k but it is New National Anthem and restructuring that Nigerians will be discussing......

So far from what I've gleaned online tonight, Northern handles on Twitter are against the rumoured restructuring. They're saying the North will be at a disadvantage for example the Boko haram and Banditary issues will become regional issues instead of national and the states in the over there do not have the resources to tackle such. Then there are other issues like IGR, natural resources etc.

It's not surprising that Shettima or the average Northerner will be against restructuring. This rumour is a good distraction away from the massive failure of this administration so far. Give the people something to yap about.

The reason I posted their names is to put an identity to them because they are not just soldiers or humans but 3 of them are my confirmed Igbo brothers and it makes it hurt even more.

Despite the backlash, I have been consistent in my position about these criminal elements who have bastardized the face of Biafra. To those supporting this strategy, let me assure you that the violence and killing you support today will arrive your doorstep one day.

Nobody should use Boko Haram, Bandits or the senseless killings happening in other parts of Nigeria to justify this killing. There was no need for this, the sit at home was incredibly successful why kill, worsestill, your own brothers?

I expect some form of retaliation from the Nigerian Army, guess who will suffer the most? Ordinary Igbo men and women. Make I stop before I get too upset.

Looking at the score card from across the zones, the North still scored Tinubu highest. SW didn't even score him like the North did. The North is really interesting.

This is another score card...

The real issues .

The Wole Soyinka outburst against Obi, the introduction of the national anthem and now this phantom restructuring story . All of these 3 came on the heels of Tinubu marking one year anniversary in office with nothing tangible to show for his one year residency at the seat of power .

Investors are leaving in droves , some existing investors are shunning the country to invest elsewhere and we have food inflation going above the roof. They donā€™t want u discussing all these , they just want u discussing whether the national anthem was composed by a foreigner in a contest that overlooked hundred of Nigerians or that Wole Soyinka who took over a radio station with a gun in his youthful days is in a position to call out youths who insulted him for what heā€™s become in old age.

These things donā€™t matter , but thatā€™s want they want us discussing and they are actually succeeding at it

What has Wole Soyinka become in his old age? Lols, regardless of online rants and noises like this, WS has written his name boldly on the sands of time as one of the greatest Africans of the 20th/21st century.

I just read some funny posts like this online and laugh. Wole Soyinka is currently one of the few greatest and most accomplished African writers alive. That's a fact, which is true regardless of whether he supports your candidate or not.

I was the madman yesterday when I posted that those soldiers might not even be Apc or Tinubu's supporters.

We don't need to know the victims' tribes before we condemn that heinous crime of yesterday. They were at work and as soldiers they couldn't refuse to go on duty as ordered. They were born by parents but an oloriburuku Omo ale that would be bereaved soon too, was happy that they were killed.

airmark:

You will be profiled.

If you like edit or delete those posts.

Those soldiers that got killed today might not even be Tinubu's supporters, but they had to obey the last order to go out to maintain law and order as required. But you were here supporting their murder, plus your records of being a sympathizer of the proscribed Ipob group, must be attended to.

I will overlook the fact that ur paragraph was out of point and the second paragraph was almost same and I will just answer the question ā€œ what has he become in his old age ? ā€œ

Wole Soyinka ā€œ The activistā€ has become a man who now condones most of the ills he once stood against .

My post was about his activism and not about his academic/professional accomplishments . Every reasonable educated fellow knows heā€™s an accomplished writer who is reputed for his works all over the world .

But then thereā€™s Wole Soyinka the activist , the man who formed Pyrates to fight for human rights and social justice . There was a Wole Soyinka who took a gun , headed to a government radio station , took over a live program and played a pre-recorded tape calling the incumbent premier of western region a thief . Why ? Because the premier of western region was generally believed to have rigged himself into power with the backing of federal might against the wishes of the people .

That was the Wole Soyinka I was talking about. That Wole Soyinka who would not agree with the official election result but took laws into his hands by committing a felony just to force his perceived winner down everybodyā€™s throat irrespective of what the ā€œofficialā€ figures says . That is the man who now gets offended by a group of youths disagreeing with INECā€™s official figures put out.

So u see, Iā€™m coming from a place of someone who read what Kongi the social justice fighter had done in his youthful days in the name of what he believes to be justice

You're not making any kind of sense. He used his literary works to fight for social justice during the military era, something most online noisemakers today don't have the courage to to do. And that was partly one of the reasons he won the Nobel prize in literature.

So, you can't separate his academic achievements from his activism and social justice feats.

It's easy to make tweets online and make Nairaland posts.

Offline is the real deal, and most people are just noisemakers, including people that type silly posts on Nairaland about Wole Soyinka.

I'd take your comment more seriously if you've ever done any form of activism or organized a program that fought for social justice, not mere online noises.

If you've ever done so, then you'd see the enormity of what WS has achieved in Nigeria's history.

You're just making online noises expecting a 90-year-old to continue organizing activism and social justice programs at old age. I don't even understand how many of you reason.

Like I said before, it's easy to make online noises and rants. Offline is where the real work is, and we know the real men and women with the courage to record key achievements in the country's history, one of which is WS.

Everyone can't support your candidate. That's a reality you need to come to terms with.
