Hallelujah! Jesus reigns in Nigeria.

Jesus is not western religion. He is the saviour of the world including the west, east, north and south.

If truly Jesus Christ (Prophet Isa in Islam) reigns in our country, why then are governors like this one in CR stealing the masses' commonwealth instead of employing workers to do everything that state and LGAs are supposed to do as they do in Europe and America where Jesus was imported from?

If our governors and LGA chairmen did their jobs as Jesus would do, then why are we so poor and deprived of common services and utilities for our people to be doing japa for voluntary modern slavery

His supposed favourite people - the Israelites....why did he command them to plunder and enslave those he helped to conquer......there was no condemnation against slavery but rather a condescending empathy to save his children already in slavery .
During Jesus's era, slavery was equally prevalent and their was no such rebuke or comment against it but rather moralising it.....the parable of the servants and their talents readily comes to mind.

Allow me to teach you further on the ways of the LORD with my human knowledge of Him.

Let us start from the precept that God is not the author of human slavery, it is the Devil manipulating wicked men to turn their fellow mankind to slaves for pecuniary purpose. And as long as Satan is in this world, slavery in whatever forms it exists, will continue to exist until Jesus comes the second time to rule the world.

Then God is Jesus, and Jesus is God. And God moral compass is different from man's moral compass. Jesus not condemning slavery nominally in His days upon the earth is because it will serve no purpose, knowing the will of the Devil is to have men in bondage until his own captivity. So condemning it words, and not in action will not stop it. And because He knows a day is coming when He will arrive to save all men from bondage, then slavery, and all wickedness, will end.

And as for God encouraging the Israelites to spoil the nations they conquered, remember that God is not the GOD of the Israelites alone, but is the GOD and the Creator of all mankind. And He can use any nation to punish any other nation for whatever offences against His divine laws, but chiefly idolatry. The same way He used Israel to spoil other nations, he had also used many nations to spoil Israel at different times.

You know I have always questioned this and my conscience never allowed me to wholeheartedly worship a Jesus as told in the Bible you talk about until I realize the story of the Bible is a plagiarized history of my ancestors lifted by the slave masters. The Cross River Government, led by Governor Bassey Otu, has demolished a historic monolith structure.

Reports indicate that it has been replaced with a statue of Jesus Christ as a shepherd leading his flocks. Additionally, the flag of Israel has been hung on the staff of the statue.

The monolith, known as the Ikom monoliths, is part of a series of volcanic-stone monoliths from the area of Ikom. The Ejagham people are believed to have engraved the monoliths around 200 CE.

The monolith stands between 0.3 and 1.8 metres (1 and 6 feet) high and is laid out in some 30 circles located around Alok in the Ikom area of Cross River State.

This change has sparked mixed reactions on social media.
And they fail to understand Jesus' statue is someone's culture. Whydestroying yours to erect someone else culture?

Rightly so, couldn't agree more! we are the true people of the book, we were deliberately misled and they'd stop at nothing to continually perpetuate falsehood because that's where the strength of the wicked one lies. If they are not killing, it is definitely stealing, destroying or all 3 at a go. But how long more? Wake up people!

The reason why Christian ideology is so terrible, even Jesus nor any of the prophets including the entire bible never condemned slavery, not even a single sentence against it.

Let's even ignore the fact that it was the full moral force of Christianity that banned Christianity from the globe for a moment.
What role did your forefathers' religion played in banning slavery? You guys seem to have selective amnesia.
It is called slave TRADE for a reason. Why blame the ones who buy slaves and leave out the ones who kidnapped and sold the slaves to them? Also, every race is guilty of slavery - yes, even the blacks too.
It was Christianity that banned slavery from the globe NOT atheism, not your forefathers' religion, not the other religions - It was Christianity. If not for Christianity, you would likely be slaving away in a slave farm - being a slave to your fellow black won't offer any comfort.
The world was already a mess when the nation of Israel was formed. The Israelites themselves were slaves and God redeemed them from slavery. God explicitly forbade the Israelites from kidnapping people and selling them as slaves. The typical 'slave' you see in the Bible are just indentured servants (typical of what pertains to master-apprentice relationship here in Nigeria). For instance, Jacob serves his uncle Laban as slaves for years and expected payment in return.
The slavery that God was regulating in the Bible was nothing but indentured servitude - one party consenting to serve the other for number of time to do things like paying off debts, getting money to establish business etc. And God places a maximum number of years on this servitude - 7 years unless the slave wanted to renew the contract.
The only slaves that the Israelites are allowed to buy are foreigners - and there are laws that God made to protect these foreigners until they get integrated into the Jewish community.
Also, we have prisoners of war who are made slaves since Israel has no prison system.

Flash forward to the NT, the scriptures regarded both high and low as the equal before God's eyes. When Onesimus ran away from His master, Philemon, a crime punishable by death according to Roman law, Paul pleaded with Philemon asking him to receive and welcome Onesimus just as he would receive Paul.
In fact, one of the distinguishing feature of Christianity in early Rome was the destruction of the caste system - one of the reasons why the Roman elites are wary of Christianity and tried to persecute it.
Flash forward to about 2 centuries ago, it was Christians who laid down their lives to ensure that slavery was banned from the globe. It was the Christians in the West who started a civil war to ensure that slavery is banned once and for all.
The concept of human rights that people around the world enjoy was built upon the long centuries of Christian civilization - that's the reason why the concept of human rights was enmeshed in countries where Christianity exerts a heavy amount of influence.

Hate Christianity all you want, it's your choice but at least give credit where credit is due. Once again, it was Christianity that banned slavery from the globe NOT atheism, not your forefathers' religion which celebrated slavery. We haven't forgotten yet

If the Greeks were like you, the Parthenon (below) would be gone, since it was the temple of the goddess Athena.

This is exactly how you people were enslaved and colonized: one man arrived at your shores and told you your culture and religion was evil and his was good. And you stand here repeating it.

Even Jesus will be ashamed of this crime against humanity wherever he is; (though, there was no real historical Jesus).

Destroying your own historical heritage because of a lie you were told?

Why are many African leaders and decision makers this dull?

All these fake religion have destroy the normal mental processes of a lot of our brothers.

There is no heaven, there is no hell, there is no god, there are no angels, there are no demons, there are no spirits, there is no life after death, juju don't work, there is no eternal judgment, there is no karma, there was no historical Jesus. All those are figment of human imaginations and tools use by a very few some to control the many others. The earlier you understand and accept these facts as facts, the happier and merrier your life and existence will be.

The religion you're currently doing is the religion of your parents, if you were born into a family of another religion (say Hinduism), that is the exact religion you will practice.

You were born without a religion, your factory reset has no religion in it. If you were to be a phone and they do factory reset on you today being a phone, there will not be anything found related to religion in your settings, files and file systems anymore; you learn religion only after your birth growing up.

There is much you have written I totally agree with, especially the bold.

However on the subject of what happens after death, dont you think its safer to say no one knows?

PS: I am agnostic in all these things.

Brotherman you don't have to see the image of Jesus before you believe He exists. That is only an act of Faith. And the message is clear.

Did you read in any part of my comment saying Jesus does not exist? My message is clear. And the message is that "THAT IMAGE IS A GRAVEN IMAGE NOT AN IMAGE OF JESUS CHRIST". So it is just ignorance that you pull down a statue to replace it with another statue. And of course that is the image of a film actor who acted as Jesus christ.

Have you seen the face of the demon or what you were told to believe.
The bible said Satan is the most beautiful cherub.
Don't you read your bible.

Now, understand psychology and how brainwashing is done.
Satan was painted black. You are a black man.
Jesus was painted white. All of a sudden we have white people. Who is actually white in colour?
White was used to signify purity, dominance, saviour in otherworld as its happening today till you see it for what it is, the white people must continue to dominate and rule over you and you must see them as saviour.

This act was perfected the moment you didn't resist them with their so called trojan gift.
Some countries did and fought them. They used religion and education to lure you and end up taking you to be their slave forever. It will take millions of years to break away from the colonial mentality and it starts from your mindset.
Wonder why you change your accent,,bleach and prefer to eat pizza even though it's unhealthy to your local food?
My dear, you are not escaping anytime soon.
They even appoint your leaders and change them as they desire if they don't follow instructions.
That is how you mean nothing, absolutely nothing in the world scheme of things
