My friend got this year can any obe give an insight when he wwld be called for interview

This notice is to inform you that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been since 04-May-2021. NVC has received all of the fees, forms and documents required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is awaiting an interview appointment. At this time, no further action is required. We appreciate your patience.

Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled, at which time we will send it to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. We will notify the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate tells NVC which dates they are holding interviews. NVC fills these appointments on a first-in, first-out basis and is unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

For the most up-to-date information about the U.S. Embassy or Consulate's operating status, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov.

The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview.

Important: The applicant should not make any permanent financial commitments until they have received their immigrant visa. This includes activities such as:
- Selling a house, car or property,
- Resigning from a job, or;
- Making other travel arrangements.

Thank you for your continued patience.

You are correct
lily156:
Yes, they are current. Nigeria has prioritized IR/CR categories since post-covid.
F categories that have been current since 2019/2020 and DQ since 2020 are still waiting for interviews (including F2A). This has nothing to do with being not current or the retrogressed ones. Several people on this thread are in that boat - they just keep getting the 60 days email.
Check the public visa issuance stats for Nigeria for the past 2 years.

aestake:

Your category is F2A and your PD is Nov 2022. What is your DQ? No DQ because they are inviting those with PD of 01SEP23 for documentation, after that you get DQed. For interview, they are currently dealing with folks with PD of 08FEB20.

Your spouse becoming a US citizen may be what hastens things for you guys. That time your category goes to IR1 which has no capping.

Hello guys, today, I received two emails concerning the status of my CRBA application for my son. The first email stated that my application was under review, while the second email informed me that the status of my application had changed, and upon logging into my account, I observed the status was updated to "Not Issued". I am confused as what this means. Does it mean under review or denied. I believe denial should not be the case, I believe DNA testing should be the last resort. Please I would appreciate if anyone can shed more light on this. Thank you.

Hello folks, please I need your advise. When I became a US citizen, my children were removed as derivatives from their mother's petition, and her case was updated. I was informed that I needed to file separate petitions for my children. I filed for my daughter in January 2024, and her case has a 14-month processing time. Due to financial constraints, I couldn't file for both children simultaneously. I subsequently filed for my son in May, 2024, and His case has a 25-month processing time. This results in a significant gap between their cases. I am concerned that this gap will lead to different interview dates, affecting their immigration process. Please advise on this matter. Please is there anyone that has experienced this kind of situation? Please kindly advise. Anticipating your response.

Filed at 1 year and 6 months? Lucky you. It's people like you that F4 is meant for, not those of us they filed for when we were in our 30s.

Best of luck in your interview.

I'm still confused about the table we should be checking under family sponsored in the bulletin, is it table A or B?

Congratulations!
You have no idea how much hope this has given me.

Mine is F11
PD - April 20, 2015,
DQ - Oct 26, 2020.

This is huge news.
What time is the interview though? I'm wondering if I'll have to find a hotel near the consulate or go from home.

Seriously though, does anyone know an affordable hotel near the consulate and how to get there?

There's table for
1. 'Final Action Dates' for Family Sponsored
2. 'Final Action Dates' for Employment based
3. Filing Dates for Family Sponsored
4. Filing Dates for Employment based.

If a family member filed for you then you're interested in "Family Sponsored" tables.

If you have not received any email from NVC asking you to start your processing then you should be looking at 'Filing Dates'.

If you have completed your processing, filled out a form online, paid a fee, uploaded documents and been told that you are now DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED, then you should now be checking "Final Action Dates".
The Final Action Date shows your Priority Date when 'Current'.
Your Priority Date is on a 'Petition Approval' document that was sent to you in PDF format.

I hope this helps.

Your DQ date is most important.

When were you "filed for"?

Did you, the person who was filed for, fill out any form online? Did you upload Police report and birth certificate? If yes then you should be looking at Final Action dates. If you, the person filed for, have not done this then it's still filing dates that you're waiting for.
