On the AI thing, I think you're overestimating the emotional complexities of the average human a bit. All the average media consumer needs is to be entertained.
The sunset that actually care about depth are in the minority. That's why a lot of folks fall for and react to clickbait titles that could be cleared by just reading a paragraph or two of the actual article. Cos most people don't really care about media past the surface level.

Will AI ever truly produce human storytelling? I think we stand on the same side here. I also don't believe it ever will.

The entire album was such a beautiful piece of film music. No surprises for the Oscar win. I had the album on both my Spotify and Apple Music Wrapped last year, just to tell you how much i rinsed the album.

And yet there are folks who don't enjoy or pay attention to film music or score 😩. One of my fave scores ever enncusplate how a proper score can elevate a scene.

It is called "God Particle" by Hans Zimmer from "Angels and Demons" (2009). It is played during the scene where they discovered that the "Anti matter could end all life as we knew it" and so the template was "invoke dread" and boy did Hans Zimmer go to town! infusing different element including some faint Latin incantations in the background, whilst Joshua Bell was on Violin solo, doing his thing and serenading the whole thing, then towards the end, Hans Zimmer infuses a rotor effect, and if you're listening on a Hi Fi headphones, it will seem as if, a helicopter is flying loudly above your head and it's about to crash down... it's so so good and without even seeing the scene, fear go don already dey catch you 😩.

That's why Hans Zimmer is probably their father when it comes to this score thing, but this new crop are trying sha o especially Ludwig Göransson, i saw his work on "The Mandalorian" and i instantly knew he was the one, The Lisan al Gaib once Hans bows out 🤘🏿

lol you just described my delima when working on a motion graphics or animation project, i have a plathora of scores in my library to use, but all copyrighted, and should a client share such project as a Youtube shorts for E.G, Youtube has this weird rule of giving royalties to the owner of the sound you used, especially when said sound is from a major label. So i am left scrubbing pixalbay for the next closest sound to use that is royalty free. I still can't use Cornfield Chase on an official project for years now 😩🥲

Just saw that film is premiering June 7 in the UK and marketing is totally non existent apart from the initial trailer I saw some months back. Looked very similar in style to Boy Kills World.

Still that movie doesn't seem big enough to me to move the needle in popular chatter about him. Not until 2023 with John Wick 4. He needs to get into more quality projects and frequently.

Yeah he's quite good and scored Black Panther.

As for background music man, I'm hardly finding free non copyrighted music attractive in my ears these days sef. They sound generic and unemotive to me. The good shït that fits a vision is usually from copyrighted stuff or movies.
For the copyright, I sometimes use a modded version of the song like those epic versions on YouTube with more dramatic percussion music added. Are those kind of songs also fall under that YouTube royalty you talking about?

I haven't even seen any trailer for The Crow. I knew it was slated for 2024, but had zero clue about the date.
Pound for pound, Elordi doesn't edge out Skarsgard. You can't even compare their box office numbers. And as for directors, how many movies has Fennell made that she'll be regarded as a big director. I agree she has won many awards, but those are for her writing, and not for her directing.

Majorly nonsensical movie..... Boring humans with stupid dialogues, but that's not what I came for in the first place. The Titans were obviously the draw. And delivered in the powered fights and all. But entire storytelling na mediocrity.

The CGI for Godzilla in this is better than the one on Gojira: Minus One but well you can only do so much with such shoestring budget for a blockbuster fare.
Seems, Japanese Godzilla Minus One made this Hollywood installment looks premium stale probably because one has been exposed to better similar content. So this Godzilla installment was just an obligation to the franchise.

That Millie Bobby Brown's own was premium shitty and almost sunk that franchise... If not the persistence of WB. That was King of The Monsters I think. And it was an epic flop. It was GvK that revived optimism back to the franchise but w be like say dem don return to default settings.
