I plead the 5th 😂

But medically speaking lol, if the woman has a regular cycle and tracks her dates, and the man is "on high alert", especially during those dates, then no problemo.

Hehehe, I thought you only do politics...

Anyways, there is a 100% certainty if the man/men in question is/are sterile grin

Your moniker is that of a female. What's your gender? Male, female, trans, others, prefer not to say... grin

You are changing the goal post.

The context of the certainty of the withdrawal not being a 100% is during a woman's ovulation period and not the converse. If it's the converse (that is when she's even likely to not take in even if baba launch), then there's a possibility of a close to 100%.

I don't think any man living has the ability to withdraw with a 100% certainty. As for me, na other more reliable family planning measures we adopt. After madam drop the second one, we are done!

Hello please can anyone explain this cashback thing to me like I’m 5 years old pls. A lot of things still confuse me in this uk. Halifax offers me some cash back but I used to hesitate taking it cos I was thinking there must be some charge attached to it.
Estroller:

If I were in your shoes, I'll open a new account with any of the high street banks( Halifax, HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays etc they are all different variants of the same thing, just pick one) and move my salary there and possibly open another account with a second neobank to complement the Revolut, chase is a good choice for your spendings as it gives a fairly decent cash back and has a linked savings account with an ok interest rate. Generally for savings, go with the one that offers the highest interest rate.

Unless either of them finds a sponsored role before their leave expires, then the honest truth is that it is better for them to return to Nigeria to restrategise and explore other options which could be returning to the UK, or trying another country.

The Ireland asylum route is pretty much doomed to fail. Nigeria is one of the countries that has been profiled as crossing illegally from the UK. The Irish government is taking a hardline stance such as ramping up visa checks on arrivals and they are beginning to return some to the UK.

Does anyone actually know a former student visa holder who has succeeded in getting asylum in Ireland? I fail to see why so many are taking such huge risks on this route.

I know 2 people that did actually, one ended up committing a crime and he is now back to UK and staying illegally, d other guy went with his family and only for his wife to get a uk company cos after they reach there and they are now regretting.
This happened last year though.

You basically get something back for all eligible transactions you make with your card/account. Usually a % of the amount spent, it is often capped at a certain amount and sometimes it is a fixed amount.

I won't blame anyone that opts for this, cos it's not just about the fees involved, but also the full commitment required, both time, resources, energy etc.

I think you need to change or expand your circle of friends and associates. I know many many people who work in those scenarios you described above. Some of us even got the jobs while still on student visa and employers had to reservethe roles for us, some with sponsorship even. And I know people who got the Global Talent visa even from Nigeria. One thing I keep telling people is there are plenty of opportunities in this land. They don't come easy of course, but with tenacity and open mind, they are absolutely reachable.

You are so right! Someone very dear and close to me called me yesterday to say they got a job offer of 80k£. He’s still in shock, he got tired of his current company after spending 18months and dusted his CV.

Me that wanted to dedicate 5years to my current company have been rethinking my decision.
If not for the childcare flexibility my company gives.

Note: He came in June 2021 as dependent on student visa and worked in warehouse for 6months to find footing smiley

Oh, that's awesome. Stories like this help inspire the I can do it mindset, why I advised the guy to expand his circle. I know a guy who started his career in UK with 40k salary and now making over 100k in the space of 4 years. I agree that you should have a rethink on that your planned 5 year dedication to your company. Deliver result, gather the necessary experience, dust your CV after a while and then move on, except of course, you're so happy with them and certain you won't get a better deal out there. I was once that dedicated type, but I've now learnt to watch out for myself.

It looks like the UK has introduced visa interviews for student visas. Do you know anyone who has applied for a student visa recently and got approved or rejected without an interview ?

Hello my very good friend, MissJekyll (&Hyde).
1. I’m happy for you that you got your money back. Biko, do giveaway for boys, mbok.

2. Do you still think Keir Starmer’s Labour Party is more Pro-immigration than the Tories? Imagine the ‘Shege’ migrants and immigrants are allegedly seeing in the Tory regime. Oga Starmer is suggesting that the Tories are not even tightening the immigration bolts & nuts enough. Oga Starmer is promising that he will tighten the immigration even more.

For now, it’s only the SNP that is promising to further open the immigration doors and throw the keys to the gate away, or even, demolish the gate completely.

Good morning Seniors, please i need some advice

Currently, I only have one bank account, which is Revolut, it is also the account I use to receive my salary and make any expenses, I don't have their physical card yet, I only use the digital card.

(1). I want to open a new account majorly for savings, and maybe building my credit score. Which bank would you suggest I open an account with.

(2). Is it okay to continue using Revolut as my main/salary account, or after opening the new acc, I should use it as my main account.

(3). I'm looking to buy a new iPhone (or refurbished), where is the best place to get a good deal/price. Is back market good?

Thanks bosses

Revolut is not a bank, it is a wallet just like Lemfi, piggyvest etc. I don't think your money is protected by FSCS.

Open a high street bank (TSB, Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC, Latest etc) as you main and salary account. Open a challenger bank (Monzo etc) as your expense account. Use Revolut as virtual account.

Hi. Is the agenda for change a confirmed annual exercise? What if the pay review isn’t done this year? This will throw a lot of people in Band 3 into confusion.

Exactly my point, I’m not really bothered cos I believe the agenda for change 24/25 will push band 3 entry pay to at least more than £23,200

Hopefully by June/July the new pay rate for nhs should be out

Greetings everyone,

What do you advise, I wanted to renew my rent contract, but Landlord is suggesting i don’t need to extend, as the contract automatically goes into a rolling contract after 12 months. Do you think I should insist on getting a new contract ?

Thats the norm. It might be better to let things roll as that would have been stated on your rent agreement. You still have similar protections.

Asking for a new contract gives the landlord an opportunity to rethink a rent hike and bring it in line with current market price. I know someone whose landlord issues a new contract every year with an attendant rent hike. The only advantage is that the landlord can't evict you while a fixed contract is running.
