First, given the Naira instability, your proof of funds is too close to the minimum. Second, showing just the minimum is not recommended as it doubts your intention to return. If you must show the minimum, I advise showing a reliable source to generate funds in your absence. For example, as a self-employed person, you can provide contracts, invoices, receipts, proof of business registration, tax clearance etc. Also, do not forget to include the flight cost to Canada in your calculation. I believe home ties are something you can easily demonstrate by detailed explanations and supporting documents. Job, landed properties, family, and membership in religious or social organizations prove home ties. somtorizm: 1 Like |

As a student, you can select worker and student for spouse and children, respectively. That said, the test is the same for all categories and will be accepted by IRCC regardless of what you pick. sherryju: |

[quote author=JMG12 post=130237859]1. Get a lawyer to assist you with the gift deed it is the same way you did the property documents. 2. You can attach the survey plan, if applicable Thanks you for you input, the issue I have is I want to add 3 landed properties that is in my name, just one has survey plan, can I just add the land agreement and not worry about the survey plan.. somtorizm: Trying to predict what your GCMS notes will say, it will likely say you are not financially established in your country due to know economic ties bringing you back to Nigeria. You don't own a registered business neither are you employed. In your reapplication, If you try to submit employment letter from a company, be ready to add statement of acct reflecting amount on pay slips. Not sure attaching an employment letter stating you will resume work after a year. Doesn't make sense. You have to use your sop to make it look you have something currently doing physically and not just offline freelance stuff. Also build your future plans on what you are currently doing physically offline. Also looks like you don't have excess funds as a self sponsor. So if you inject more funds, I advise you spend out of it to demonstrate availability of those funds. Goodluck 1 Like |

I have this few questions and will love if the house can answer the questions according,I will be glad. I already have my admission and secured a study loan, covering the total of my tuition fee, aside that, I have also paid my deposit. To this end, I did a POF of 22m, since other areas have been sorted. Is the POF okay? Myself and my fiancee will be getting married after my application and she will apply after my decision. Will it not raise questions when the 22m left my account and suddenly came back during her application? Or should her POF be done in her account when the time comes? Note,I intend to say I sold a property, reason I got that funds and balance of 10m will be paid later. This has been done by my lawyer that the buyer of my property is still owing me. I included this to cater for my wife in the future,so that explaining our source of fund in my account. Note, I have a visa denial in January of this year when I applied for a visitors visa. |

Hello House!!!!! I am applying for STUDY PERMIT and visitor for my WIFE and 3 KIDS. I want them to move to Canada with me this September but I want to explain in my sop to make it look like they need the Vistor visa to visit me while in school during their holidays and my graduation. I don’t want to mention we are travelling together in my sop with the hope that my 9, 6 and 4 years old kids will convert to study. My question is , should I tick yes or no in the family form where they ask ( wil accompany you to canada YES or NO) and hope this idea is good. I don’t know how strong my POF is, I have only paid for my first semester tuition of 10,000 CAD and I have 63 million naira left in my Acc Please your input will be highly appreciated |

Kenny4real68: Tick Yes and explain why you need them with you in canada. to be honest its not about the money in your account, I have seen people with 140m still get refused and also those with only 18m also get approved and refused. The power of your application lies in the foundation of your SOP. don't stop writing, continue writing until you can no longer think of what to write. my SOP was almost 45 pages long and i got my visa in 8 days. 1 Like |

harmonyedu: carry every documents you can get your hands on, it is better you have too much documents with you than little documents when you need them. remember you will be leaving home for a very long time, You will be needing a lot of documents and certificate to establish yourself in canada or even get a job. to get a security job in canada, you need some sort of certificate and also need to pass certain exams. 1 Like |

In the case of the form, you should choose yes, while for the POF your tuition fee and other members of the family should be considered to determine the amount you will need since you will be submitting for other members of your family Kenny4real68: |

Kenny4real68: This is huge expenses you will spend over 40 million naira a year or over 3500 dollars a month for living expenses in canada 🇨🇦 just to bring 3 family members to stay with you without work permit for support and without province health card another expenses getting a health insurance even though some hospital don't recognise health insurance .. This country is terrible on study permit without a family member on work permit and you have to pay school fees. 1 Like |
