The former Lagos colony was just a part of Lagos Island not even all.
It was just 5 local govt.A larger part of South Western region was later integrated into Lagos to make it 20 local govts.

The small Lagos was maily owned by Awori people who are from Ile Ife where most Yoruba came from.
Even the Williams,Perreiras etc ancestors all came from Ile Ife.Taken as slaves from Oyo,Ogun etc and later dumped in Lagos Island as freed slaves.
There is no indigene in Lagos that is not Yoruba.
