Hello all, I booked an appointment at the Port Harcourt TLS Center. I received confirmation and a reminder message from TLS about my appointment, but the website is not set yet. It self-services. Do you think they will attend to me on Tuesday, or do I have to rebook again? I can’t even cancel appointments. Anyone with such experience? Did you manage to go to TLS to submit with the date shown? Thank you. I need an urgent response because I am going crazy.

Nigerians are really going through hell in UK. This are people doing literally well in Nigeria. Resigned their jobs, sold their lands, cars etc only to come to face hard life to the fullest.

are people really "doing well" in Nigeria as you asserted?

I'm not so sure
N1 million a month with a wife and three kids is not doing well, if really you wanna give your kids a good education, live in a proper place, and live the nice middle class lifestyle Nigerians used to enjoy pre 2010.

just saying

It’s so funny honestly. I know they’re trying to discourage people from relocating because of the new laws in U.K which isn’t as favourable but the way they make it look like Nigeria is actually great is funny. How many Nigerians earn even 200k ? And with that so called 200k as a family person what can it do?

People should just choose the lesser of two evils as per their discretion.

I get both sides
But honestly jaapa is somewhat unsustainable because I can bet at least 10 million youths in Nigeria are ready to jaapa at the drop of the hat
and there is hardly any country or even group of countries that can accept so many people

The long term solution is at least to make Nigeria a bit more livable so that people can at least manage, but we have a useless president and swathes of ignorant populace.

Anybody who can jaa should jaa sha, but jaa with sense, especially if you have kids, because how will you explain to the kids after u have brought them here and they have been here for all few years that they will be headed back ?
That's the dilemma many are facing

The Truth is people who earn 200k monthly don’t migrate, I don’t see how they re going to do it, average school fee cost £12,000 = about #20,000,000, they simply can’t have this money saved up by earning 200k only monthly, majority people who have migrated earn far more than this except those sponsored by family. Majority people working in the uk can’t save £8,000 annually except you choose to deprive yourself of the good enough life which sometimes defeats the purpose of leaving Nigeria, imagine someone who owns a big house of 5 bed duplex in Nigeria with a family of 5 squeezing themselves in a tiny 2 bedroom in London with a rent of £1200 monthly.
So much is happening to Nigerians in the UK, people don’t know the whole story. A lot of Nigerians will still be forced to leave after spending their life saving because once they turn illegal their lives will be miserable . Those discouraging other Nigerians only do that out of love, they really don’t want them to come and suffer like they are.
I would also discourage the do or die mentality most Nigerians have, also I have to realize this whole migration thing is even better for a single person. It’s easier.

Anyone anybody wants to do o. They’re free. I have friends that left and made it and some that didn’t make it. Same school, same course. That thing taught me a serious lesson. This life is just a pot of beans.

Cars are moving freely, private schools are opened, government schools are closed in Abuja. Banks opened in the morning but later closed. So it’s a bit hard to tell. Maybe by evening more information will drop. Wish you the best.

To get to UK through education cost 45milion minimum if you don't have this full money then it's better you stay back.

If you want to do forged POF it willl cost you anywhere from 19 to 20m or even more. Then the question is how do u raise the remaining funds how will feed alongside house rent .. That's the discussion.

I don't think if u are earning 1m a month u are doing bad... Even 400,000 u aren't doing bad. Then your wife could support with business. Than continueing a journey and being thrown out at the end of the day. The pain of losing that funds I don't think if u wil recover from it

Am sure you are not part of those that tells people to look for school that accept 2000 pounds then when they come they will work pay the rest 20k pounds. The most important thing is to leave Nigeria.

Well....
let's just say I'm above such things

I'm just here warning and crying out so that more people don't come here and suffer what I see some of our country men suffering.

The only thing is by virtue of being Nigerian, the stain of the shame and embarrassment of what our country men are doing here also rubs off on me, if not wetin even concern me....

I will say it once again that unless u have the funds, don't bother coming here for studies, try the work visa route, people are still getting it. But a typical Nigerian is mentally lazy and handicapped, and anything that has to do with rigours to get your goals, most of us are not ready to do, it is the low hanging fruit we are all after.

All the best fun yin oo

That said
for someone who has already crossed
omo to go back to naija to start from ground zero in Tinubu era is not what I'll advise

Me no dey advice people o. I was like that too last year I'll be telling people come back if you know it is not favourable until I enter UK and I was shocked to see what some Nigerian students are passing through and I joined them. I have been depressed since February. I never get any job till now and University dey disturb me and threatening to lock portal. Bills don pile up.

Fullclub opened a thread last year that made FP I was about processing mine then but you know this Nigerian mentality of "my case will be different" that was my own believe until I landed and see for myself. I have regrets, i am depressed and at times I say some prayers and get strengthened within but the reality here is shocking and depressing. If you advice people they'll think you don't want them to come.

This things are not news again, a lot of people have said it here that if you don’t have Atleast 90% of your fees don’t go to the uk, i think we should try encourage people to take the risk buh it has to be that you have 90% of your fees.

I wonder how students think of surviving in the UK without dependants, as in how?
Years back, what fueled japa was form A Pound rate that was used to pay tuition fee. Truth is many that traveled to UK then would never try it if there wasn't form A and exchange rate was high as the present.
Personally, I'm a dependant that came in last year with my student wife. I spent little above 5 million naira to pay 9000 pounds deposit of the tuition with form A. I would be looking for over 15 million naira in present day Nigeria to pay the same sum, that's huge and I don't think it would make a wise investment for me. To make it worse, NO DEPENDANT.
Today, people just wanna leave the country and thus many are jumping from frying pan to fire. What could be more depressing and humiliating than being served eviction mail by the UKVI, abi living illegally in the UK after your resident permit is revoked?
