If it was me I would never believe such a story.

Joseph must have been a very foolish man, to buy that story.

He didn't just believe her but he wanted to leave her secretly because he knew her to be a decent girl from a good home. Matthew 1:19
It was after he had a dream and an angel told him that it's God's doing that he summed it up with what ancient prophets of God foretold about the coming of a Messiah that he later had a change of heart! Matthew 1:20-21

You can read for yourself:

Therefore, Jehovah himself will give you a sign: "Look! The young woman will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and she will name him Im·manʹu·el" Isaiah 7:14

His friends also heard of the story but remains sceptical not until Jesus began performing great signs no prophet has ever done in Israel that they were ready to die with him:

All of this actually came about to fulfill what was spoken by Jehovah through his prophet, saying: “Look! The virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and they will name him Im·manʹu·el,” which means, when translated, “With Us Is God" Matthew 1:22-23

A HOE lied to a simple man and made everyone call her a Virgin Mary instead of just Mary.

Joseph is the FIRST and BIGGEST cuck to have ever lived. Imagine raising a bastard and you can't even spank the shit out of him because he's the "son of God". grin

Rather than admit that she's a LovePeddler, Mary took advantage of dumb people and their need to believe.

Imagine DNA test was a thing then. It would have quickly been revealed that the "Holy Spirit" that came in her was no one but a boy she went to Yeshiva with.

Plus, it was a time when people would rather believe that God bleeped a teenager than question thr innocence of a girl raised by decent parents.

However, anyone with a common sense can easily deduce that Mary was not a good or decent person.

The ANGST with which she came to meet Jesus shows how TROUBLED she was the wedding party was running out of wine.

Mary was an ALCOHOLIC!

It was so bad that the first "miracle" of her son was to turn water into wine so that Mary could continue to drink at a party.

Tanks to the writer @franklyspeakin for that response given with Bible verses to.back it up. Let me add this to help readers who needs to.

For the conviction of Joseph and his acceptance of the revelation of the son in Mary's womb, it takes God due diligence to ensure that an Angel present himself to Joseph to repeat the same written words of the Prophets which was spoken many years to him, for him to confirm what Mary told him. Look, the conception of the child can be ridiculous as in ?, the dream came,....he needs to sit and think twice after the revelation, and finally going through all the 9 months journey God was with them, they endured it all, then when the child was born the angel appeared again to tell him where to be born and also leave the place at a certain time. What was emphasised here is the hearing and heedi g to God's voice. The problem with many is they couldn't hear God: If Joseph had failed at that time, it simply means he didn't just fail God, he made himself the second record failure to allow the devil to deceive him too like others with great destinies.

Note, each successful task given to man leads to another however, failure in divine task may lead to many people failing. Just as a success in divine task could lead many people to their success.

How did the bible writer know that Joseph had a dream in which an angel told him it was God’s doing?

Did Joseph tell him?

Don’t forget the New Testament was written a century after the alleged events.

So who told those writers that Joseph had a dream?

All the events were recorded by Jesus' disciples who were his contemporaries they penned down all what we're reading today few decades after Jesus left them. Remember Mary (Jesus' mother) was with them {Act 1:14} so it's not difficult to know what happened during the pregnancy stage!

The New Testament was written at least 70 years after the alleged life of Jesus.

Why did it take 70 years for his so called disciples to write a single word about his existence?

The entire story is obviously a fabrication.

Even a toddler should be able to see that.

So, according to you, Mary told the writer 70 years after the event that Joseph had a dream in which an angel told him it was God’s doing?

The absurdity of it all is just comical.

This is what the enemies of God's word told you but it's a lie, none was written 70 years except Revelations and the gospel of John both written 66 and 68 years after Jesus left them the rest were written within 30-36 years later! smiley

I am afraid the statement in bold is false. The evidence contained in the writings in fact point to the Gospels, including the letters of Paul as well as the Book of Revelations, having been written in the years before the destruction of Jerusalem which took place in about 70 AD, barely 40 years after the death of Jesus Christ. undecided

Is it 40 years you are calling 'barely'?

Why would nobody write a SINGLE WORD about ''a whole son of GOD'' who came and performed all kinds of 'miracles' including raising the dead, and gave sermons to thousands, was publicly crucified, and raised himself from the dead before flying up to heaven before onlookers?

And not a single world about his existence until a full 40 years AFTER he flew to heaven?

What.. did they run out of ink after he departed?

Y'know, maybe we should research if there was a really terrible mass ink shortage after his ascension, that lasted over 40 years. undecided

1. What I instead meant is that all 4 Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — were written within the 40-year period that is the death of Jesus Christ in 31-33AD and the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem by the Romans in 70AD. We are not certain exactly when the writing began but we are certain they were written before the destruction of the Temple. undecided

2. Unlike the Law of Moses, there was no command from God to Jesus Christ that He must be written down in the books. undecided

3. Again, you have several Gospels written of Him within the period instead.

4. You forget that not long after Jesus Christ, the entire city of Jerusalem was destroyed, many of His followers killed off, and about 2/3rds of the people scattered all across the many other nations. So, the fact that the Gospel stories survived all that chaos and turmoil is a miracle on its own. undecided

What a load of lies and garbage.

You said: ..all 4 Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — were written within the 40-year period that is the death of Jesus Christ in 31-33AD and the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem by the Romans in 70AD.

THIS IS A LIE.

The gospels were written AT LEAST 70 YEARS AFTER the 'death of Jesus'.

''Modern scholarship tends to date Mark’s Gospel around A.D. 70-75, Matthew around 75, Luke around 80-90, and John around 90-100.''

Are you certain you in fact read through the contents of the link which you copy-pasted here? First, your post there says, "Modern Scholarship tends to date ...," which means Modern Scholarship is not certain when exactly the books were written. So, on what basis do you declare my claim a lie? You seem to know more so bring it let's review it. undecided

Second, the text goes on to include the excerpt below which is a summary taken from the source included at the end of the page.
A recent book by the New Testament scholar Jonathan Bernier summarizes some of the latest evidence in support of an earlier dating of all four Gospels. Although Bernier doesn’t contest Marcan priority, he does offer a robust case for placing the Gospels before the critical date of A.D. 70. For Bernier, Matthew was likely written around the years 45-59, Mark around 42-45, Luke around 59, and John around 60-70.

Arguments for these earlier dates are multiple, but they include the fact that none of the Gospels speak of the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple as a past event, therefore suggesting a pre-70 date of composition. Another argument is based on the fact that Luke’s Gospel was written before the Acts of the Apostles, which appears to have been penned during the lifetime of apostle Paul. Given the scholarly consensus that Luke’s Gospel was the third of the three synoptics, it then follows that not only Acts but also Luke, Mark, and Matthew must have all been composed prior to Paul’s death in A.D. 64/65.

Belief is the easiest thing in the world, anybody and everybody can, that's why it's the way to salvation and you're not with any excuse. You don't need money, TOEFL scores, IQ, certificates, NIN or a job to believe. Mention something easier.
