Because you are only worth 30k. If you could get more you would. Others earn a lot more. There are drivers and cooks who earn 40k and there are those who earn 200k.

If you could earn more you would leave and get a better job but you can’t leave because those who pay higher wages don’t like people with poor attitude to work or poor skill set.

You are mad thinking I earn 30k monthly, people like you are evil and selfish and only think for yourself alone. You’re a pathetic lost soul

You embarrassingly dumb, it's high time Nigerians wake up from their slumber and say no to their oppressors and one man has come out to lead the cause but here you're disgracing your ancestors.
People like you are the reasons politicians get away with so many things in this country, do you know that a senator in the US earns just $49,000 annually ? A senator in Nigeria earns over $600k annually from their take home and looting funds meant for the development of their constituencies.

You should be ashamed of yourself for that useless comment.

Truth hurts!

There is someone doing a job earning 30k that will get sacked if he dares ask for a salary increase, yet there is someone doing the same job on 200k that his boss will pay him whatever he wants than have him leave.

The difference is value.

A rude awakening is happening in Nigeria on many fronts and many will abuse me for this but it is about time!!!

Your Obidient favourite state, Abia, was even fighting against paying ordinary 30k. He held workers salary for 8 months due to stinginess. Same Otti is busy inflating contracts and annexing billions to his pocket.

Peter Obi did the same when he was governor. Doctors, teachers , workers all went on strike for months. Doctors went a whole 13 months. Teacher were on strike for 7 months and he even tried to sack them.

Did you know that prophet mohammed is a mad man?

Take a look at the breakdown of the senators' monthly emoluments. I'm more incensed by item 13, 'leave allowance', If these figures are true, it means they are paid 8 times the wage of the "downtrodden" for doing absolutely nothing!!

It's AMAZING that this is public knowledge YET there is NO RIOTS ON THE STREETS!!!
We ought chase the thieves down and lynch them!

Ajaero is unpopular, if he was popular, people would willingly follow him and there'd be no need to forcefully push workers out of their office. In Jos, some NLC workers enforcing the strike were beaten up and got injured in same manner he was beaten in Imo state.

So those millions that they take home monthly is times 8 of 30k in your own calculation?

A US senator earns 174k per annum which is about 12 times the minimum wage per year. Going by that factor, a Nigerian senator should be earning about 4.5 million per year. Instead, they are earning around 340 million which is more than 1000 times the minimum wage. This is day light robbery.

Bros, that man is saying the truth. Everything is not politics, I nearly die of stomache cancer if not that the strike embark by resident doctors were cut off earlier than speculated around March. My docs have to tell me to arrange money for fuel, in case there is no light. As the management can give any excuse, bro na person wey don dey there fit talk. This might not make sense to you but anyone that had surgery in public hospital knows the importance of grid light. Even those inside wards let alone babies in incubator

It is not bragging, it is reality check and I don’t care about your name.

You are employed to sit at the exit of a supermarket and your job is to tear customers receipts on their way out. Even at that you are useless that customers have walked past you and you are calling them back ( we all experience this at supermarkets) how useless are you at tearing receipts that you are distracted and customers walk past you?

They pay you 30k. You think you are hard to replace? 1 million Nigerians are queuing to replace you tomorrow if you dared to ask for salary increase because you will be sacked. That like it or not, is the story of the typical Nigerian minimum wage worker. His role requires no skill and he doesn’t do it well. If by chance a new minimum wage is introduced and enforced people like that will lose their jobs because no employer is going to pay anybody 70k just to tear receipts.

Many people don’t realize the reason they even have a job is because their wages are 30k or whatever. Any higher and your employer starts to question whether he needs you.

if not for the
corruption in the system and the huge amounts that the political class are allocatting to themselves, the government can actually pay Nigeria workers #500.000 monthly minimum wage, without any stress.
Ok, let assume that they can't pay workers #500.000 minimum wage, they can bring it down to #200.000 or #150.000, but paying a worker with the family of 6 individuals #60.000 monthly minimum wage is inhuman to say the least.
how can a family of 6 individuals survive with #2.000 daily spendings, that's #334. 00
individual daily spending, even a house dog can't survive on that miserable amount.
The emilokan government should be realistic let them cut down on their extravagant way of running their government, all these bogus pay package to political appointees , and lawmakers, ought to be scrapped, then there will be enough funds to pay workers a reasonable minimum wage, because Nigerian masses are really suffering under emilokan government, more than ever before.
