dont say wat u r ignorant about.
The 25billion cap is the minimum total asset of all licenced banks.
there is no 25 billion deposit with CBN by any DMB
let me use your terms now, do bank trade with the minimum capital they deposited with cbn the answer is capital No.. Its a fixed asset deposit with cbn.

On what grounds does heritage bank wants to negotiate with in the first place.
Is that no better than the bank been folded up?
It is the same problem titan trust had with the cbn.but the case of titan was that the cbn made sure it did not get a banking license before it could lay hands on public funds.and now they will revisit titan books because from no where it has a major takeover of uniou. Bank(emefiele hands sha).
But heritage is no different from the problem of diamond, finland and co.
The better choice was to merge
yes but banks cannot just merge without the weaker party making drastic concessions. Heritage bank should close shop.

NDIC insures up to 5 million, so if yo have 5m or less NDIC will repay you within 60 days.

The bank, formerly known as Société Generale Bank was rumored to have owed JJ Okocha $1m as at then when it went bankrupt. But there were reports that he eventually got his money back.

Even their ATM will not drop money.

Some couldn't get their money till date. There were unconfirmed reports that J.J. used his influence to get his money back.

Bukola Saraki on the beat again.

Saraki cannot run a bank.

I am sure Shoprite too may have problems soon because it’s bought by Saraki’s family and the mall could be using Heritage Bank’s money.

hahahaha u r wrong. they do trade with it, i am a certified banker.
if DMBs have a fixed deposit with CBN, there will be no need for an agency like the NDIC.
Let me tell u, there is no idle fund anywhere in banking

So what will happen to all their buildings round the states in Nigeria, because of licence they will loss so many assets, this is so bad. CBN should have looked for a better way to solve this issue instead of hurting people in the process of thinking they're doing what is right by them.

You will only be paid what you have in your account with the bank before the licence was revoked. E.g, if you have 100k, 100k would be paid to you by NDIC but for those who have above 5m e.g 10m, they can only get a maximum of 5m
