Visa ban imposed on Nigeria by UAE resolved – Keyamo

Emirates flights to Nigeria may resume in June, says Keyamo
Keyamo

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, has said the United Arab Emirates, UAE, authorities have concluded plans to lift the travel barriers between it and Nigeria.

Speaking to newsmen at the welcome dinner for delegates attending the International Air Transport Association, IATA, 80 Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit in Dubai, weekend, Keyamo said issues relating to visa denial by the UAE had been resolved.

He added that an announcement would soon be made, saying what remained was to fine-tune the processes for lifting the visa ban.

He said: “The issue of visa has been resolved, just the announcement remains. They want to dot the I’s and cross the T’s. The announcement will be made in a couple of weeks.

“The UAE is considered as a very important partner in Nigeria. Nigerians have a lot of stakes here in the UAE with a lot of investments. What we are doing is to make sure that we make it easy for millions of Nigerians who have put a lot of pressure on us to ensure that we open up this route again. Second, to make the visa application easier. I am sure you can see the way I was received here. That is to tell you how they value Nigeria.

“I was on the same ride with the ruler of Dubai, the Minister and the head of Emirates Group and all the top shots of Emirates. There was no other person given that privilege here. That is to tell you how much they value us and they want Nigeria to see it in that light. They have opened up again to us. They have started to trust us again, and I want to say thank you to them. I will take it from here on.”

More than half of the kids coming here to discuss Nigeria issues with UAE don't have international Passports. They don't have hopes of going anywhere. They are stuck in the mud over here but they must put their mouth to justify why Nigeria or UAE is right or wrong. You won't hear anything from Atiku and others who own properties in UAE, just the miscreants with 100 mb free Data from network providers.
After their post here, next destination will be Facebook, Instagram or X to check which couple have problems already.

This is the life circle of average semi useless youth in Nigeria. Nothing to improve their online lives, just entertaining themselves with gossip and things that doesn't concern them.

Festus keyamo is feeling so fly here

Does he think Nigerians will be excited about this news when they already made a mess of themselves and the country the last time they turned into some sort of propaganda?

What a sellout...... So Tinubu who claimed to have negotiated this deal with the ruler of Dubai was lying.....

No wonder he was denied a meeting with the Dubai king......

Emirates flights to Nigeria may resume in June, says Keyamo

Whenever “may” is used in any sentence….

There is a probability that it may never happen

Firstly, Someone should please apply for the UAE visa to confirm the above statement. Secondly, the UAE denied that when It was rumored some months backwhich still means this announcement could take 7 years more to be broadcasted..

Aslong as ur a valid citizen of a country u are qualified to discuss on its issues that may affect u now or in future. If they don't have passports today can't they have it Tomorrow? Is anybody stuck in ur proverbial mud forever? Even Atiku, Tinubu, abiola were once stuck in same mud. undecided
