You guys know you can not stay back in Singapore right?

You can only visit and go back to your country. You can be arrested and deported.

I stand to be corrected.

I don't know if this is peculiar to Canada, but if you're traveling as a newbie, make sure you go to the airport with an invitation letter from your host because they won't allow you to check in if you can't provide the letter.

Yesterday, they refused to let my brother check in until he was able to show them a letter.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Transporter52: 4:43am On Jun 04
I got a refusal letter today
It’s no joke that they have limited the TRV
donteebalo:

I got a refusal letter yesterday too,
I submitted on the 4th of Dec
Biometrics on the 7th,
I have 5 Schengen visas, one SA, one Turkey, one Kenya and one Ireland visas as part of my travel history.
My POF was N11M and $3k (trip for 11 days)
I submitted ALL relevant docs including my marriage Certificate.
The only Reason for refusal is ‘Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable)’.

I concluded within my myself that these guys have limited number of TRV to be issued.
Whichever way, I will definitely apply for GCMS note and return my application later this year.

Good morning I just got a refusual but I am sure it's wrong because I submitted documents to backup the points I was rejected for via web form and I am sure that was not used.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by
paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/
section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will
leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.

How can I appeal this decision?

Purpose of application was tourism
I submitted via web form my property documents
My statement of account has over $50k in it

Sorry to hear about the refusal , I would reapply again and do you have any travel history? are you self employed ? Sometimes is not about the balance in your account.

I guess your brother is going for visiting, so invitation letter is necessary but if going for tourism then hotel reservation is mandatory

This must be a new thing at Nigerian airport because no one ever asked me for invitation letter from my host or my hotel reservation for all my trips abroad.

They are not immigration, and I believe this nonsense is only happening in Nigeria.

He was flying out to Canada on Air France, but those customer service agents at the airport will not allow him to check in.

They wanted to see a letter from his host before he could check in.

when illegal immigrate as asylum seeker landed in some country the airline could be fine so it now duties of the airline to ensure the passenger they boarding has some good intentions and with current high rate asylum seeker in Canada ,you cannot blame the airline for enforcing the rules especially for new travellers.

I think we all need to take a break from applying for Canadian tourist visas given the current high refusal rate. It just doesn't make sense to reapply as a tourist when your destination doesn't see you as one. The asylum seekers in Canada who have abused the visitor visa have tarnished the image and reputation of honest travelers, and we all have to pay for it as Nigerians. We can see the same thing happening in Europe and the UK. Everyone I know who applied for a Canadian tourist visa in November is receiving the same refusal letter, except for two people who have U.S. visas.it best to maybe reapply toward the world cup hopefully if Nigeria qualify

This is not true. Airline will only be fine if the passenger doesn’t have the necessary documents to enter into the country.

You might be exempted because you are a frequent traveler.

The attendant will flip through your passport if you notice, once they discover you are a frequent traveler then you will be granted access immediately,,,, it's opposite for first time traveler.

But wait, are you comparing the advanced country system with Nija own? 😁😁😁 All those nonsense only happen in Nigeria ofcus
