My best singer of all-time. Second is Mariah Carey. Third is Toni Braxton. Fourth is Mary J Blige. These women are/were blessed with VOICE.

In 2009, when Whitney returned with the album I Look to You, I was soo excited. I didn't know it would be short-lived. I had a song book in the 90's, and all the songs in it were her songs. I cried so much during her passing.

She is still missed.

No disrespect to those you mentioned. They are all still below Whitney's level and aura. Have you listened to Whitney at all? If yes you wouldn't be comparing her to Kelly Clarkson (whom I love by the way especially with one of my favorite songs of all time "Breakaway".

There will always be great vocal talents and I've listened to a fair share of them from Jessi J. to Sarah Ikumu, Morissette Amon, Dimash (the guy who can sing up to 7 octaves whistle notes (Mariah can reach only 5 or 6) ).

But if you talk about the total package: Vocal range, pitch, vocal control, vocal strength and power, soulfulness, vocal sweetness, diva-ness, name it, Whitney reigns supreme.

She is the female equivalent of MJ.
