The same alacrity they use in passing votes for upper and lower legislative Chambers in terms of finance and also passing the national anthem the same template should be applied for the new minimum wage.Thanking you all in advance.

Na the final conclusion we need and the minimum wage amount that they all arrived at

The new minimum wage is likely going to be above N60k and below N100k

Lagos and Edo is paying 70k conveniently without recourse and I believe other viable states as well.

It should be between 75k - 100k.

60k is an insult

Please what you mean by self financing and how do they go about that because I do know the legislature arm is not a revenue generating body........

If they allocate to themselves mouth watering budgets (self financing) grin grin

Use your heads. President Tinubu CANNOT dictate the salaries of Senators or Representatives. They are a separate, independent and self-financing arm of government. They can even impeach the President. The President cannot even determine Judges salary. If the NLC is not happy with their pay, then they should face them. They should not make the rest of us pay for their beef with Senators or the National Assembly. Ask for something reasonable, like ₦75,000, and almost 100% of the populace will support you.
who determines their pay?

Do whatever you have to do. Just make sure you increase the wage to at least 100k.

Senators earns at least 32millon naira and legislators earning at least 27millon every month and you have the guts to be begging workers to accept 60k minimum wage.

Mumu Akpabio dey beg workers to accept the 60k while he feeds his dog every month with over 500k. I no just like the man, na the dullest senate president in recent times.

Shame! The Tripartite committee has failed the president by proposing useless amount and got labour union angry. Now Tinubu must now tell them to do market survey and propose reasonable amount

The NLC should partner with the Government on price control. Price control is the main solution. It's people in private sector that indirectly suffers the increment because it's profits that determines the wages and salaries. Government should set up mechanism to addressi the hyper inflation. Don't forget prices will jack up again once civil servants salaries are increased.

He has been a serial election rigger using money he embezzled from Lagos and trafficking narcotics.

The main win he will be remembered for is whether he made Nigeria better than he met it or worse. Clearly Nigeria is worse and never retrurning to how he met it, how much more of improvement

Are you proud of that?

Wolexyoshi:
Left for the Federal Government and Sub Nationals, they can afford to pay 100k from the Subsidy Removal Revenue which majority of the Governors have been chopping in the last one year without nothing reasonable to show for it. But the private sector are to be considered as well because they also have to start paying whatever that would be agreed on.

All these while, the Organize Private Sector are the ones pegging the proposed wage at 60k which they can afford.

This matter just tie wrapper as it is, but let's see the final outcome.

I guess organized private sector can choose to pay their 60k, but state & especially FG should be made to pay nothing less than a 100k.
